  1. Just logged on for the first time since my surgery. Down to 241 lbs, net loss of 69 lbs. I have to say that everything has gone fine, except that after 1.5 years I was down to a cup of food 3 times and day and not losing any weight. A friend of mine discovered a doctor to treat her PCOS. We chatted and realized we both had the same issue. So, almost half of that weight loss is due to being treated for PCOS. I am now losing 3 to 5 lbs a month. WOW!! Yes, my kids and husband are very happy for me and proud of me. Hope everything went well for you bemused. ??
  2. Not to be a negative, but you might want to get that extra 2cc filled. I just had lapband this past Monday 10/13. I had been talking to a friend who has had the band for over 1 year. She only lost 30 lbs. Come to find out her doctor, some doctor in Hurst Texas (not Dr. Marsden) was missing her port. Sad thing is she lost an entire year because every time she told him she could eat what she wanted he blamed her for eating the wrong thing, not exercising, etc. She wound up going to another doctor and in 3 months already lost another 30 lbs. :smile2:
  3. Here I go...all 310 pounds into surgery next week. Starting the high protein diet tomorrow. I have waited so long for this, and yet I am torn. Do I want to wait longer or start. I go forward nervous knowing that this is the best thing for me, my husband, my kids. Wish me luck.
