  4. Now that we are in or around our 8 month of banding I felt the need to come back to this thread. SO I'll be glad when I can... *Celebrate 100lbs lost *hit 260 so I can go make-up shopping (my reward) *lose 10 more pounds so I can fit a skirt i just bought *feel comfy on my next plane ride to NYC *see the look on my in-laws faces when they see the change LOL hopefully by then (Sept) i will be closer to 200 than 300. the last time they saw me i was in the 290's. now that we have lost a few pounds im sure our lists have changed a little. so from my previous list i CAN: *walk longer than 30 mins without my legs hurting *just go shopping for smaller clothes period *run around with my 4 y/o for longer than 5 mins
  5. i stopped snoring about a month after my surgery
  6. wow i am so happy i ran across this thread. i felt like this just an hour ago. so when i think about it now i didnt even put a dent in the food.
  7. it really depends on my mood. one month its everyday then the next once a week. i do think that i do better when i weigh everyday. if i weigh daily its only once in the morning. i update my ticker weekly no matter what the scales says daily.
  8. omg how sad is that to be denied treatment...im sorry to hear that happened to you.
  9. thanks. i have 3 miles so far...i need a ticker
  10. i agree....i love what was hidden under the fat and im loving what i see more and more.
  11. great thread....i want to go to jamaica once i hit goal. i want a sports car too, dont know what yet but will enjoy looking for it when the time comes. mini goals are great too, it keeps us motivated.
  12. i hope its okay if i join you guys. the weather is warmer now and i want to get back to park and walking. i want to reach 40 miles for the remainder of the month.
  13. hope its not too late to join in...i added myself to the spreadsheet. i set a goal of 21 pounds by may 5. it will feel great to hit it because it will be 100lbs lost.
  14. welcome...this is a great site for support
  15. I enjoy living!!!! my thoughts exactly
  16. i felt like that for a week. i was always thinking a good burp would clear this up. gas x and walk
  17. hey just saw the updated post. sorry to hear that but stay positive and if you still feel this is for you go for it. i was postponed for 3 months after i received my first surgery date and was so mad so i understand. let us know if you decide to continue your journey.
  18. a pillow for the ride home, place it over your stomache before putting on your seatbelt
  19. good question i had no idea about the sleeve when i chose the band. i like that the band can be reversed. if in the future it has to come out who knows. i want to wait to see the longer results of the sleeve too, i have not researched it much.
  20. i agree with the other posters. i was nervous up to the day of my surgery. on that day i was calm. they took me to the back, the doc said we are giving you something to relax and put a mask on me. 3 seconds later (lol thats what it seemed like) i was waking up in recovery. i dont remember a thing after the mask was placed on. best wishes
  21. i think its normal to have that feeling i had it and i just enjoyed my eating. im not sure if i pigged out i just ate whatever i wanted. lol maybe that is pigging out. i can honestly say i do miss eating large quantities of food especially my favorites (chpis) BUT....im loving my results and the help of my band so bye bye buffets. good luck on your journey.
  22. if you go to lap band complications you will find people who have had issues. as for me i think i have first bite syndrome. in the beginning like the first 3 months it felt like i constantly had something stuck in my throat. over time it went away it was just annoying. it does come back every once in awhile. im fortunate to say so far i have not had any major issues.
  23. bobbie hang in there, now that your band is repaired im sure you'll do fine. 22 more to go for me. im hoping to be there by my bandiversary too. if not so what i cant remember the last time i was this small. lol at myself at saying 267 is small but for me it is considering where i started. keep up the good work.
  24. prev weight 272 curr weight 267 im glad with the results thus far, i have had struggles along the way and im just trying to learn from my mistakes. i know i can improve my nutrition as well and not be so Protein focused. good luck everyone!
