  1. I think it’s pretty common to experience lightheadedness when you’re having sex after gastric bypass surgery, possibly related to fluid loss. The nausea could be related to hunger or eating patterns, but it’s also normal for people with GBS to feel nauseated at times due to the small stomach size.
  2. I haven’t had the mini gastric bypass (MGB) myself yet, but I’ve read a lot of experiences from others. It’s common for some people not to lose anything in the first two weeks after surgery, and then suddenly drop around 10 pounds in a week. Then, they often plateau again. For some, starting a medication like a GLP-1 receptor agonist helps make the weight loss more consistent. But it usually takes a few months to reach that point.

  8. That means a lot. tnx... i’ve been reading through a few threads and this place does feel supportive which I appreciate. I know surgery isn’t a magic fix, but I’m ready to put in the work. Thanks again brother.

  10. I’m in the middle of getting approved for surgery myself, so I’m not on the liquid diet yet but I’ve been doing a lot of reading and prep too. From what I’ve seen, a lot of people recommend broths (like chicken or bone broth), Jello (sugar free of course), and protein shakes and electrolyte drinks like Gatorade.
  11. I'm new here and just wanted to say hey. I'm a 35yo man living wid type 2 diabetes, and after years of struggling with my weight and blood sugar, I finally decided to take a more serious step. I’m currently going through the process of getting approved for bariatric surgery but I’m trying to prepare myself mentally and physically as best I can. Managing diabetes hasn’t been easy, especially with the ups and downs that come with it. I’ve tried different diets and workouts but I’ve reached a point where I need a reset. I'm hopeful this surgery will be that reset.
