  1. Thanks again for your reply and your good luck wishes. I still haven't got the courage to go to my GP though. Is this forum used by anyone from the UK, or do you know a UK alternative, you guys are all fab, but it would be good to chat to someone in the UK too. Thanks again, it means so much to get a reply xxxx
  2. Thank you so much for replying...my BMI is 40. I weigh about 217 pounds. I'm from the UK, having the op here if I go self pay will be about £7k, about $14k I think (excuse my rubbish conversions). I will go and see my GP (family doctor) but I just feel they are going to rubbish me and tell me to go away as I have lost weight, not once but 3 times. Each time I find myself back here though. My knees hurt, every morning my back hurts and I'm very miserable. In fact I hate myself. Ho hum..sorry it's turned out to be a bit of an outpouring. Thanks again for replying. Lou x
  3. Hello My name's Louise and I'm overweight, no very overweight. I have lost weight before, seven stone last year, but it's nearly all back on again. I guess you'd say I'm a professional yo-yo dieter. I'm looking for an answer to my sadness at going up and down and never staying where I want to be. Is a gastric band the answer? Will I get a gatric band on the NHS? I'm 5' 1 and weight about 15 stone 7. Can anyone give me any advice? Lou x
