  1. Surgery twin! I found a lot of soft/pureed recipes on Pinterest and TikTok. My surgeon had me on a clear liquid diet post op for 3 days and then I was able to start soft/pureed. Soups and jello were my go to initially. You got this! I’d say to wait a few minutes after your first bite to see how you handle it
  2. Today I was able to eat a little more and drink more too. Gas pain in my chest after each sip or bite is really aggravating but I have my gas-x to help. So far the hardest part is walking, I have 7 incisions and still have to sleep sitting up. Hoping that pain goes away soon ☺️
  3. I’m still struggling with that. I don’t do well with taking pills and taking them while drinking out of a medicine cup is even more of a challenge. Yesterday I was able to drink about 12oz of water throughout the day and I added a Gatorade zero pouch for some electrolytes, and I was able to keep that all down
  4. Surgery was 3/27 and it’s been a struggle with keeping down water. I’ve thrown up a few times so that makes me nervous to drink more. I’m just trying to take it one day at a time. I’ve noticed that I’m a lot colder now too
  5. 3.27 is my surgery date for VSG! I'm excited to get my life back and to be a more active and healthier version of me for my kids. I am blessed to work for a company that offers good insurance as well as SurgeryPlus so my entire procedure is covered.
