  1. Today marks 3 weeks post op for me, I just had soft chicken pho, not with all the noodles and Ive had no issues. Anyone else try Pho or soups with chicken yet?
  2. Talk with your doctor to see what's right for you, my insurance covered 80 percent and I had to pay around 6K out of pocket. I am only 3 weeks post op but I don't regret the surgery one bit. I can see changes in my body and progress. ?
  3. I am sorry to hear about how you are feeling, I have not experience any Nauseous , the depression is normal for VSG patients, what we are doing feels lonely when everyone around us is living and eating anything they want. You have to pull yourself up and do things that bring a smile to your face, remember why you did this (to get your health and life back). Everyday is going to be a challenge until its not and we start to see those results we want so badly.
  4. I will be 3 weeks this Thursday, it gets better once you get into soft foods. Take it one day at a time, you will reach the point of yummy food again.
  5. I blended Low sodium can soups and drank my isopure protein water.
  6. That first week is the worse for some reason our brains want all the old food we used to eat all the time. Stay strong.
  7. Sounds like low blood pressure, I get that way if I shower with too hot of water. Are you getting in 64oz of water a day?
  8. Sounds about right , I went there the same mind hunger, its normal, you have to just push through and when your able to make healthier swaps for those foods you will enjoy it more. I am only 16 days post op and I cook all the delicious foods for my family, I have to smell those burgers they eat and last night we went to a steak house for my hubby, I had to smell it all and just understand its not for me right now. Hang in there friend. ☺️
  9. Listen to your body, put the spoon down after every bite, don't wait till your stuffed to stop eating.
  10. Thank you for your words of wisdom, I had to take Milk Of Magnesium last week but not much came out, I hoping adding more soft foods to the diet will help with something to come out. lmao I am not really meeting my protein or water goals =( I am working on it tho.
  11. I am only like 16 days post op and I wish food would go through me , maybe it gets better?
  12. Greetings all! What are some of the side effects you have noticed on your body since VSG? I had mine on 01/18/24 and here is my list: Dry skin Dry lips Cold all the time Head hunger Dizzy in the shower if the water is too warm Hard bowel movements Tired all the time Mood swings Low sex drive

  18. I am a few days ahead of you , what I did was make sure I took my chewable gas X every morning , I add lemon to my ice water , I can tolerate the cold. If cold water hurts fry room temperature.
