  1. Hey everyone!! how is everyone doing? I was exactly 6 weeks post op yesterday and it was my 33rd birthday! I’ve lost 20lb since the op but 40lb since liver reducing (3 weeks of liquids) finally onto textured foods but prioritising protein and liquids still. I’m now 248lb the lowest I’ve been is 224lb in adult life so I’m excited to get past that weight! I also get married at the end of June so determined to do the best possible. after 4 years of waiting for the op, I can’t believe it’s now done!! Xxx
  2. Reading a lot about tiredness and fatigue, is anyone feeling the other way at night? I’m struggling to sleep! I feel tired but ever since the op I have not got to sleep easily, have tried walking further in the day, reading etc but doesn’t seem to help!! (I’m 3 weeks post op on Tuesday) Feeling really positive otherwise though, the weight is coming down and the pureed stage doesn’t seem to be bothering me so much!! Just need to keep up with protein water to ensure I’m getting enough in, as only manage a few mouthfuls of the pureed food! Xx
  3. I’m so glad too!! Keep me updated also, think of how amazing we will be feeling in a few months!
  4. I feel exactly the same. I’m walking everyday but I just want to get out and do something!! I know I definitely need to take it easy though as after a big walk today I’ve had some pulling on the inside!!
  5. I had my surgery a day after you!!! I was also completely out of it for a few days. Haven’t vomited since the first day of the operation though. I weighed myself after a week and had lost 5lbs but I lost 20lb doing the LRD which was pure liquids for 3 weeks before my op!! I had a call from the surgeon today that said to not focus on weight for the first few weeks as it will constantly go up and down and then start to properly shift and stall and shift again when incorporating more textures and calories! I can have puréed food from next Tuesday. how are you incisions healing? I have a really awkward one that feels like a dent but it’s slowly getting there!!! hope your recovery goes well x
  6. Thanks! I normally sleep on my side/sometimes my front so it’s been a huge thing to get used to!! I’m propping myself up though too, and I’m sleeping on my back because of my incisions
  7. hey everyone, just a quick update, I’m now 4 days post op! Feeling way more human, been on a little walk around the village I live in, protein water is going down well and Collegan lattes. Struggling to sleep on my back but sure I’ll get used to it soon! Hope everyone else is doing ok!! Xxx
  8. Had my surgery yesterday!! I was extremely poorly from the anaesthetic and was sick a lot last night. Definitely had a thought of “what the hell have you done” but this morning have managed to keep some morphine down, have tottered about and sorry to be graphic but passing wind is the best thing you will ever feel after surgery!!!! can’t wait to carry on recovering now. Xxx

  11. oh wow!! I’ve had to do pure liquids for 3 weeks. It’s been TOUGH!!
  12. That’s amazing!! How long did you do the liver reducing for? I have my op on Tuesday in the UK. We have to liver reduce for 3 weeks and so far I’m already nearly 20lb down. Will be going into surgery about 270lb, I’m just so ready for it now!!!
  13. In the UK it’s not about BMI, on the NHS you have to do a LRD for three weeks prior to your surgery!! I’m nearly two weeks into it, one week left on Tuesday before my surgery on the 19th!! I’m 14lb down though so far.
  14. I’m on day 10! The pure liquid diet is so hard but I found it got easier after day 5!! You’ve got this!!
  15. In December 19th!!! Already so over the LRD of just shakes but know it will be worth it!!! Can’t wait now
  16. Hey!!! I have my surgery December the 19th!!! Currently on LRD and just want it done now
