I decided that it's all for the best. Dr Robinson wouldnt give me a fill - he said that the upper GI that I took showed that the band is fine, but my esophagus is slightly enlarged. He wants me to take another upper GI in a month and see him that day too, where he will hopefully be able to give me a fill. I will try to come to the meeting next Monday, and I agree with you I need to make an appointment with Phyllis - I have never met her, the last nut I met with was Natalie - a little bit too long. I really need accountability. Trying to keep my head up - and not enjoy too much food!!! Tova

I go in tomorrow afternoon to the Faulkner for a fill - which I desperately need. I feel like a bloated balloon!!! I can eat everything which is great until I step on the scale. I realized through all this how much my focus plays such an important role in this whole journey. I need to get back on track with my eating and continue to make it to the gym regularly tova

Mel, I havent had a fill in I dont know how long, it is definitely gas pains, and I am being more careful with it, yesterday was a much better day. When I was at the chiropractor the other day he also mentioned diaghram soreness and he is really helping me. I feel much better, but I realize that I really have to watch myself and stay on target with my eating and exercise tova

After feeling great that I finally made it to the meeting on Monday, everything went downhill - I was always tight, up a whole night coughing, and just felt that something was not right. I called the office on Thursday morning and went in for an unfill. The nurse took out 1 1/2cc, putting me at 7cc. WOW what a difference I feel soooo much better now. I also have to take prilosec for the month and go for an upper GI I will have to call the office so that they can set it up for me. I know I should have gone in earlier and not wait the few days I did but I am sure glad I had this unfill and hope it wont cause me to gain too much weight!!!! Tova:redface:

It was really great to see you all tonight at the Faulkner. It reminded me how important these meetings really are. I left the meetings feeling - "I can do this" - I know that I and only I am resposible for my eating habits and only I can change them. I am really focused now to get back on track, with my eating and exercise. Tova:thumbup:

HI everyone - sorry I havent been around lately busy with home and work I guess. I read Heidi's and Mel's comment - I didnt realize that if I didnt drink enough that would affect me. why? I also noticed I have been down on my drinking and getting a little bit tight - this week I will try to drink more. Another thing I have noticed is that if I drink too much on an empty stomach I become very nauseous - anyone ever have that? Tova

Just wanted to post and say HI. I never believed live would be so busy - not complaining it is all for good things. I have not been to the gym in a while but started again last week and that made me feel great. I was so looking forward to coming to the support meeting this week, but I have pt conferences in school, so I guess I will have to try again for next month. Otherwise my weight has been staying the same even though I would love to loose another 10 pounds before I call it quits, but I am not stressing, I am just so glad I am where I am today - the band has been the greatest thing for me. This is all part of the Lap band journey. Some days you can tolerate certain foods better than other days, and as you get more restricted there will be foods that you will learn to stay away from. Everyone is different. I have met people who eat raw salads daily, where I can not eat raw vegetables - lettuce, peppers, tomatoes... It is defiinitely something I miss, but I am learning to compensate. All this is certainly worth the end result. Good luck to you Tova

I havent been around lately - but I have been checking this site often. I decided to be good and get back into things, so of course being off from school and not having a regular schedule I decided that there was a support group tonight, and I went!!!! When I got there I realized my mistake - I hope I dont mess it up next week. Tova

Pesach was great!!! Did throw up two times though, and stayed totally away from Matzo. I thought I ate a little too much and heavier food than I am used too, but at the nut today I lost one pound - defintely not complaining!!! I am glad to be back on a normal schedule with my diet and exercise and hope to loose a little more in the next few months. tova

Jay - in the beginning it is normal not to be able to get in all your shakes and liquid - dont push it. Eventually you will get it all, just make sure you are well hydrated. You sound great - good luck to you Tova

Haven't been around for some time. Ihope everyone is doing well. I am counting the minutes until the morning where I hope to get another fill. I really miss that restriction feeling - and I am sure this will help put me back on track. I havent lost anything this month - stayed within the same 5 pounds. I really am looking forward to this boost. I dotn want to fall back on soem old habits that seem to be creeping in. Tova
