Here are am over 3 years after my lap-band surgery. I have conquered my type 2 diabetes. HbA1C 5.6. I have lost 100+ lbs. I still want to lose around 15 more lbs. I'm working out (cardio, weight training, and Pilates). Feeling much better but remembering that this is a PROCESS. Slow and steady wins the race. -

This is a photo of me in the summer of 2009. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I weighed 307 lbs. My BMI was 44. I was determined to lose weight and I took this photo from my desk-top computer with the notion in mind that this would be my "before" picture.
