Aetna POS II out of pocket final costs?

I was banded on March 4th using Aetna POS II, and so far have paid about $300, mostly for the Pych eval (which I think I should of contested), and some co-pays for the two Sleep test that I had to do. I took out a FMA for $2000 and now have to think of a way to get reimbursed............maybe some Cosmetic surgery? :tongue2:

    Can everyone PLEASE post

Hi Sarah, Welcome to LandBand Talk. I'm there with you...........lost 41lbs also. Been at this plateau for about 3 months......it has been frustrating. On the brighter side, I have finally got restriction, I'm not sure if I have reached my sweet spot, but at least the scale has started to move downward. Just made it to onderland . Cheers, Vicky

    Im sad and frustrated

I feel your pain. I was so sad last week and really second guessing my decision to take this path. My primary doctor was against this procedure, saying that her most of her patients' average only a 35lb loss......and that is exactly where I have stalled for the last 6 weeks. :skep: On a more positive note, I do finally have a little restriction, mostly with bread and chicken, but not enough to make me feel full. Schedule for another on Thursday.........hoping very much for the sweatspot. Good Luck

    March Hotties..check in

Another Friday ...... Already:rolleyes2: So, it's time to weigh in. How is everyone doing? I'm right on schedule........down another pound. I have another fill scheduled today, so hopefully:thumbup: this will be the one......I would love to have some restriction. Wish me luck.

    Any locals?

First of all.........congrats on your success . I'm encouraged, you have lost over a 100lbs in a year. I'm still in Bandster Hell with no restriction. And I so know your situation regarding nasty chocolate addiction. I have a fill scheduled for Friday, so I'm really hoping for the sweet spot. Good Luck on your jump start.

    March Hotties..check in

Hi All, I'm down 2.5lbs this week:thumbup:. Still not at my sweet spot, but I'm hoping by the next fill I will be there. My Doctor is pretty good about giving fills, I have had 3 so far and scheduled for another next Friday. Good luck this week.

    Lucky Losers Friday Weigh-in 5/8/09

Hi All, I thought we were going to start a new tread every Friday for Weigh ins. This maybe why we don't keep as much participation. If we want to post to the same tread every week, then maybe we should rename without the date. Anyways.......I'm back from traveling and am up 1lb . On a good note, I got another fill today, so.......hopefully this will get me to some restriction.

    Lucky Losers Friday Weigh-in 5/22/09

great............2 lbs is just right. I'm traveling this week, so do not have a scale. I'm having a hard time with getting my exerciseing in, but doing OK with the food choices and quality, but this is on will power. I have lost any restriction I had from my last fill and I'm not due for my next fill until the 29th.

2 NSV one over the weekend and one today!

That is so great. I just had a similar experience. My sister works at JJill (she is a size 6 ), and after we had lunch she insisted that I try some clothes on. Well, low and behold, I was wearing a medium top and a size 16 pant:hurray:.......first that I have shopped in the Misses department in years. I was so happy I bought way too many items......I will have to take some back (without my sisters' knowledge). I'm really trying not to buy too many clothes while I'm still steadily losing. Keep up the good work.

Did anyone make it without pain pills?

I did not take anything after being discharged from the hospital. I think I have a high tolerance to pain, for I have never taken much medicine, with the exception of when I throw my back out and then I used to take Celebrex (which is now not possible). I'm not sure what I will do when my back goes out again (this is a genetic thing, I have a twisted vertebra, and sometimes when I do some weird moments, like painting ceilings, the muscles around the vertebra get inflamed). Any suggustions?
