And a " Finish all that is on your plate" I started my liquid diet on Monday, had our granddaughter with us so there was no time for that HANGRY monster in me to show its ugly head lol busy busy busy I was. 14. Hi Gloria? Breath Hun... All these feelings you're in battle with right now, are normal. I've battled my weight pretty much most of my life as well and I'm 57. It's not like you won't be able to eat things you love again. Sure it's going to be awhile... And our stages of recovery will feel slow.. But... Hang in there. One day at a time. One step at a time. One success at a time. Being healthy is key. Obese people loose out on so much life. Weigh out the good and the bad... And decide for yourself who you are doing this for and why you're doing it. What your goals are. Feeling great... Having energy... Living longer... Avoiding illnesses and diseases like cancer.. And perhaps setting examples for others... Your children( if you have). You've come this far for a reason... And you've worked so hard!!! I have faith in you??
  15. I struggle also with getting enough water. For years I thought I drank lots of it lol apparently not enough? Do you find that your sleeping has changed at all? Back when I first started this journey... I slept like a baby every night. 8 to 10 hours every night. These last couple. Of months... I have a terrible time falling asleep... And can't seem to stay asleep. Finnsmith... Thank you... And the best of luck with yours as well!! What kind of recovery time are you looking at?
  16. Finnsmith.... . I'm personally having gastric sleeve.
  17. Oh wow!!!! Im SO jealous of what you get to have Vicky!! I wish my surgeon would allow all that!! ? I can have the blended 0 fat cottage cheese.. Broth, decaf coffee or decaf tea. Unsweetened apple sauce, ocean spray diet juice, skim milk, almond milk, Greek or skyr yogurt. Meal replacement shakes(premiere shakes) And a few other liquids. But no matter what I have.. It has to be a liquid. No more then 800 calories per day. 60 to 80 g of protein a day. So.. Tomorrow I will start... For 13 days... Then 1 day of only clear liquids... Then August 14th is my surgery day.

  24. I've lost over 85 lbs since Jan 3 2023. Still have 60 more to go. My doctor and dietitian had me on the pre surgery diet for 2 weeks not long after my first appointment with them. I'm shocked I'm still married lol Hangry?? Oh heck ya that's a REAL thing!!! Since being on that, I've been on a pretty strict food intake. At first even that was a massive challenge for me. Then the longer I was doing it, it got easier. But the thought of having to be back on the pre surgery ( liver shrinking ) diet? Scares the heck out of me. I struggled with what I should have.. Or not have. My heart goes out to my husband because of everything he has to deal with. August 3 Rd I go in for my PreOp. I'm hoping to get loads of information and support. My surgeon has had my on Vitamins and Vitamin D since my first appointment. Hang in there everyone.... You've all come so far... I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I sure hope you all can as well!! ?

  26. My surgery twin! When are you starting your pre surgery diet? And for how long?
  27. Good for you Tamra The way I see it is... It's my story to tell... My journey. If I decide to speak about it... I will. Until the, this is hard enough. Physically and mentally and emotionally. Im not sure I could personally deal with a ton of negativity at this point.
