  1. Hello. I have the same thing. It helps to know what your triggers are in order to work through them. Mine is in very specific situations. Though on past surgeries I've worked with my medical team to attempt to avoid triggers, sometimes they forget the plan, or make other random choices.. which potentially make things bad. (Happend to me). That being said, if you know which tools help to stay present, lower anxiety, etc. Bring them with you. A warm IV bag to hold helped in the last surgery. Also, if you know if certain meds change your ability to use your tools, plse tell your team. You can only control you, and not what your med team chooses to do. Know you did what you could, and whatever happens, take it moment by moment. I hope to have my WLS end of Sept. Good luck.
