  1. I was banded 12/22/08 with the realize band and I had the same thing happen to me. So I think it may be a side effect, but it went away after a few days.
  2. I'm down for the challenge I would love to lose 15 pounds by then. :tt2:
  3. I was banded with the realize band 12/22/08 and I seem to be doing pretty good. I have lost 42 pounds so far so it seems to work pretty good for me. I have very good restriction. My first fill 2/09 was 4cc's and my second fill 3/09 was 2cc'c for a total of 6cc's I don't think I will need another fill for a while.
  4. I used Isopure it's high in protein they taste ok a little after taste to me but you may not taste it my godmother didn't (it might of been my taste buds). Also now for time to time I drink Bolthouse Farms mocha capp and it is very good it has 10grams of protein for every 8 ounces. I hope this helps.
  5. You go girl that is great keep up the good work.
  6. Hi and congrats on your weight lost. I was banded 12/22 and have lost 28 pounds and I didn't have to do a pre-op diet. I still have restriction so you may still have it after the swelling goes down. The swelling my last a few weeks mine did I think my stomach was still swollen for almost 3 weeks. I still can't eat nothing like I use to it's amazing the amount of food I can eat now. I go for my first fill on 2/5. Keep up the good work doesn't it make you feel good to see the scale go down?
  7. I don't think you should be eating regular food yet your stomach is still healing on the inside and by eating regular foods you make the stomach move around more trying to digest the food. I had surgery 12/22 and I just starting the regular diet this week. I know it's tough you do get hungry I just ate lots of broth and protein shakes just try to keep drinking I wouldn't try regular food you don't want to mess anything up. Good luck I hope it gets easier.
  8. I was just banded 12/22 and I didn't have to go on a liquid diet either actually no diet before the surgery. I think it may just be up to the doctor that's just my opinion.
  9. Hi and congrats I was banded on 12/22. I'm doing pretty good now what I used to help me go to the bathroom was benefiber I just put some in my broth and it helps. I noticed the pain meds made me nauseous so I stopped taking them. I have some pain and discomfort next to my port sight when I try to get up from sitting down. I also sleep on my side with a pillow under my stomach and it helps or I put the heating pad under my back if I sleep on my back. I hope this helps and congrats again.
