  1. I've already gotten the band, so no bypass for me. My weight loss has stalled so, I'm a little desperate. sorry.
  2. Hey all, I was just wondering if any of you have tried leptopril or any other diet pills after the lap band to speed up the weight loss? I'm considering leptopril but I'm not sure....What do you think?
  3. Thanks guys! You're so awesome!! I've started trying to plan my meals a week in advance, and I find that any meat that wont go down with regular chewing I can put in my food chopper and it will go down just fine. Thanks again!
  4. Hey all! I just wanted to see after you guys have hit your Sweet Spot...what do you eat? How much? And also do you find that you need to plan ahead with your meals? Thanks guys! :mad2:
  5. Thanks guys, I'm trying the more cals one day then less the next. I'm also signing up for a yoga class, and a hiking club in my area. Maybe if I mix my activity up too it will help me lose weight again. =) Thanks again everyone!
  6. Okay....thanks guys! I'm usually getting anywhere between 700- 1200 calories a day, depending on the day. I try to eat lots of fruits and veggies, and I drink 5-9 glasses of Water a day, along with coffee and tea. Everything is no sugar added or sugar free. I guess I'll just wait it out, I just hope it speeds up soon. =)
  7. Hello all! I was Banded Sept.30th 2008. I've lost about 40 pounds since the surgery, but I have about 65-70 to go to get to my goal weight. I'm excited about my weight loss, don't get me wrong....but I've stalled here at 199.....I've been stalled here for about 3 weeks. I don't understand. I workout with a trainer 3 -4 times a week, I try to stay active in my life, I don't eat sugar, pastas, breads, or potatoes. My only weakness is mayo with my meats. It makes it go down better, but at this point, I'm about ready to stop eating all together. I'm honestly at my wit's end right now.....can anyone help me? It's like it doesn't matter how hard I'm trying. Help!!!!!!
  8. I was banded september 3oth, and I've lost 35 pounds. (including the pre-op diet weight loss) I'm excited!!
  9. When I get hungry with the lap band it feels like a sort of chest tightening, plus the normal hunger pangs. Is this normal? Has something gone wrong? Also, my port makes a weird pinching feeling sometimes when i move a certain way. What's going on??
  10. I agree about the walking. Not only does it help with the gas feeling but it also is very useful in preventing blood clots. I can't tell you how many times I've walked up and down my street trying to burp or (gasp!) fart...I was banded September 30th, and most of my gas pain is gone. I hope this helps! Britt:thumbup:
  11. This is bad. I HAVE SURGERY TUESDAY MORNING AT 6:30AM. I think I have a sinus infection coming on:angry:.....what can i do to make sure I keep my surgery date? Can they still do the surgery with a sinus infection? What should I do??? Is a steroid shot even an option at this point? THANKS GUYS!!!
  12. I hear ya!! I would totally kill to have some fried chicken....but I get banded on Sept 30th...so hopefully in a month or so I can have some GRILLED chicken...lol. hang in there!
  13. Hey guys! I'm on my second week of my pre-op diet, (my surgery is on Sept. 30th..wooo!!!!!) and I can only have 4 Protein drinks a day, plus as much Water, broth, popsicles, jello, etc as I want. I went and bought sugar free jolly ranchers, and sugar free buterscotch hard candy.....I'd eaten three or four pieces when it dawned on me....maybe this isn't allowed. Even though I let it melt completley.....what if, ya know?? Can anyone help me with this?? I'd hate to screw everything up now....lol. Thanks!!
  14. Although the band is a tool, it is NOT a magic fix. YOU have to decide to eat the RIGHT foods. If you don't, it means you weren't ready to have the surgery in the first place. You have to commit yourself 100% to this. It can save your life. If you don't start eating the right foods, you've wasted time and money. Please make the right decision!
