I had the robotic assisted surgery and have had zero problems. The surgeon is in control, and the robot apparently get into positions inside that a person can't which makes it much easier and I believe less pain and stress in recovery for patient.

Today is my six week mark— I have officially lost half of the weight i need to lose to get me to a healthier weight— 12 lbs pre op, the rest since surgery date of 3/3. I am really pleased with my progress so far, still focusing on fluids and Protein, and trying to cut down to one Protein Shake a day vs two. Feeling good and enjoying shopping my closet and resisting buying anything new— goal is to get to 158 be end of April, and 148 by end of May. Fingers crossed the trend continues!
Black tee is a day or two before surgery, white tee is today.

I’m going to be honest with you…there is absolutely no way I could have gone back to work two days after my surgery (which would have been yesterday for me). I’m kinda going back tomorrow, and I’m even questioning whether I can do that (and it is a work from my bed, with laptop on my lap, kinda job). I’m no longer on pain killers during the day, but I just feel like sh*t. Gas pains have subsided a lot, but still there. I’m really struggling with getting any Protein in me, and between alternating 2 ounces of a Protein Shake with getting water/other liquids in me, it is a full time job.

I usually just get Iced espresso with a little cream. But if I want something sweet, I am loving the Toasted Vanilla Oat Milk shaken Espresso as a treat, I just get it with half the pumps of flavor to cut the sugar and carbs. and Extra shots and ice to make less room for milk. It's so good!

hi, I am having the gastric sleeve surgery a week from monday, 3/27. i have been smoking weed and vaping for quite some time and it’s really hard to stop. I have not been honest yet about it because i don’t want them to cancel the surgery but i understand that my life could be at risk. i just need some help and support and advice. has anyone smoked or vaped close to surgery? did you survive?
  12. Congrats!
Kim0120 reacted to omrhsn in Almost there! 9 kg to reach my goal weight
I've not lost any significant weight over the past two months or so. The scale barely moved down from 83 kg but I noticed some changes on my measurements. The clothes that I bought three months ago are loose now but not to the point that I have to buy new ones.
I didn't weigh myself for almost 10 days and you can imagine my excitement when I saw the number on the scale

I can't remember the last time I was below 80 kg. Maybe in my early teens. I'm now 9 kg away from my target and I can't wait to shed those. Fasting certainly helped break the stall for me. I hope to lose 5 kg more in the remaining 20 days of the fasting month.

Hi and welcome. I know it is scary to read the negative, but there are so many positives!
I have knee issues, a torn meniscus to be exact. I have lost almost 100 pounds since I started this journey and now rarely have pain in my knee, to the point that I do not need the surgery. My numbers on my blood work are great, I have energy and over all just feel better.
Are there times its a pain to eat a certain way, yes. Could I need a revision for an issue later, yes. Do I have to take Fiber religiously, yes... But then I remember all the positives I mentioned above and its not an issue anymore.
If you think there's no other choice, and this is needed, do it. It's been life changing in all the best ways possible. I would do it again in a heart beat.

Don't overthink it. You will be concentrating on getting your fluids and Protein in. Walk around as much as you can to shift the gas pains. sleep when you are not doing any of these things. Drinking different temperatures can help. Your second week is so much easier.
Everyone gets nervous, we are human and are built to fear the unknown. The hospital staff will put you at ease. Good luck

I am about 3 weeks post Op. I had the robotic sleeve. My incisions are small and I have had no problem with pain or anything. They are close to be fully healed.
