  1. So I’m struggling with the whole thought of loose skin. I’ve lost 60 pounds already. I’m 5’4. The gastric sleeve was a medical necessity not by choice I have an autoimmune disease. I was 280 now I’m 220 about 8 weeks post op. I was always comfortable in my skin. Now idk. I keep losing and I know that I won’t be able to afford plastics. TMI but I also have big boobs. Always have since high school when I was a skinny. Now I worry I’m just going to be a walking flab. Im getting insecure which is not like me at all. The struggle is real.
  2. I’m 6 weeks out. And was able to eat loaded mashed potatoes. Only about 4 tablespoons. I regret it now. No dumping syndrome nothing. Just guilt. Worried that I will be able to just eat anything like normal. ?
  3. I had robotic sleeve surgery. I’m 5 weeks post op. It went so smoothly. I only got 3 incisions. And they are fully healed. I had minimal pain. Went home same day and back to work 3 days later. Honestly didn’t feel like I had surgery at all.
  4. I have a 6 month prescription for Prilosec My surgeon has me taking one everyday in the morning. It wasn’t anything reflex though. More like sour tummy. But I’ve established it’s what I ate. I don’t have issues with heart burn or anything like that.
  5. Yes I actually do this already. And I did eat the same thing two days in a row for dinner. We will keep seeing what works and what doesn’t.
  6. I thought the same Thing but it’s only happening at night. So I wonder if it was something I ate. Last night I was better.
  7. What do you guys do when you feel gross. Idk how to explain it. Like I met my protein and liquid goals today. I go potty everyday. But the last 2 nights I felt yuck. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and had to take Pepto. But I don’t want always take meds. Never been a fan of a lot of medications. I used to drink ginger ale. Obviously can’t do that anymore.
  8. Guys I made the ricotta bake. ? why did I wait so long to make the this!?! This is amazing.
  9. So a tip my nutritionist told me was take pea size bite every minute. It has helped me meet my Protein goals. ?
  10. I tried to make a hard boiled egg yesterday. I ate 1/4 of it. I couldn’t eat all of that in one day. The struggle is real. I’m almost 4weeks post op. It’s like my appetite left me after 3 weeks.
  11. So not a fan of tuna lol. I am never hungry so it makes it even harder. ?
  12. So the last 3 days I can’t meet my protein goal. I’m on soft foods. Only 1 protein drink a day. I’m never really hungry. I try and eat and take 3 bites and I’m done. I meet my liquid goal but that’s it. My dr wants me to eat 3 to 4 small meals a day and try not to do more then 1 protein drink. I’m never hungry ?
  13. Ok so I’m now 3 weeks post op and today everything taste like metal. ? why does this randomly happen?
  14. Which surgery are you having? I was in and out same day so I didn’t take anything. Just wore comfy clothes. I napped before surgery. But definitely phone charger.
  15. I’m on soft foods to and I get full fast. I barely eat an ounce or two each meal. One shake takes me almost an hour to drink. Sometimes I drink half and then drink the other half later. I meet my goals each day but it takes me 3 to 4 tiny meals and a snack through out the day.
  16. Thanks me too. I’m sure it will pass. It only comes on if I get up to quick or move wrong. Other then that I’ve been very happy with my choice. It was so fast. She did it robotically and I went home same day. Went right back to work 3 days after.
  17. I had the sleeve almost 3 weeks ago. Today is the only day I been in pain. My recovery has been fantastic till today lol. Was told by my dr it’s pretty normal because that’s where she stitched inside.
  18. Today is the first day that muscle pull above the incision is the absolute worse.
  19. Which one are you having? I was really scared too. I had sleeve on May 11th. Keep your head up. Everything is going to be ok. You got this!
  20. I bet. I couldn’t wait either.
  21. Oh I’m in soft food stage already. I’m going to have to make some lol.
  22. Oh nice I’m in central Texas by Austin. It’s already to hot for me lol.
  23. Oh nice I’m in central Texas by Austin. It’s already to hot for me lol.
  24. I wouldn’t have made it. I can’t do heat for that long. Only 2 weeks PO. I stay hydrated and even just 30 mins outside is to much. But I also live in Texas so it’s hot.
  25. Oh interesting. Let me know if you find anything. I know that cauliflower is used to make “hot wings”.
