December 2008 Bandsters Names (Final)
Hi Teresa...Congrats on your successful banding and hope you are recovering well! What is your hubby's name so that we may be praying for him? Thanks to him and you for serving our country in the most noble way! And as you need it, we are here for YOUR support, the least we can do while hubby is away. Please make sure you do take the time to take good care of yourself...wow, the new woman hubby will come home to! I understand the Senior thing as my son graduated this year, and one more as a Sophomore! Blessings and safety to you and family!

Do you have a December Date?
December Week 2 2 B Banded...we are up! Thank you to all the week 1 'Bandsters' for coming in with reports and great tips/hidden hints, we could not learn from a book! You go Kerry, our forerunner of the week, and all other 12/08/08 surgeries! Keeping us all in prayer for continuing speedy & whole recoveries as well as wisdom to start the Bandster lifestyles! By the way, on the Wii Fit, it is a great interactive tool to use in starting out any kind of program, and also, helps you to continue to work the core...while learning balancing. It tracks your BMI & weight, while helping to set goals. The step and boxing are actually fun to challenge yourself in, and that does get the heart rate up! I lost inches & weight on it w/o having started any dieting, and it is so fun to try different activities! Just my 2 cents worth, I am looking forward to the J. Micheals Wii Fit version next! Have a blessed day!

21-30-51 Excercise Challenge 4 12/08 Bandsters!
Thank -you, FPete, Trina & Bandtastic, anyone else who has gotten out there to walk & move! Perhaps we will do another one after everyone is banded and healed, ready to start moving again! I just wanted to share, I have not been as faithful as I would have like to been, to walk everyday, but I did get in 90min+ per week, and when I went to Home Depot yesterday(large store to get around in) I could actually feel the difference in my back and legs, stronger and energetic! So we are allll walking into surgery with ready hearts to get healthy and then walking the lbs right off!:cursing:

21-30-51 Excercise Challenge 4 12/08 Bandsters!
Thanks Fran & Pete for the encouraging words. Welcome, Bandtastic! As Fran said, I believe ANY exercise we get moving in now will help with the surgery, just getting the muscles and blood a pumping, if even to help our body relieve the stress we can be going through in preparing for the surgery! I am so amazed at how my blood pressure esp. just DROPS from walking consistently. Something I am surprised at, I am now looking to park a few more spaces away, instead the very front one, because I CAN walk more steps because I want to! The challenge goes on with us as a team, and preparing all over for the new life on the horizon!:rolleyes2:

21-30-51 Excercise Challenge 4 12/08 Bandsters!
I did it! I did IT! Today was our 5K Mercy Ministries Run/Walk (of course I walked) and did 19 min miles, with a 60 min time! It really felt good, last year I did it at about 20 lbs. +, and came in very last place. This year, I jogged in the last quarter and wasn't last! Amazing what 20-25 lbs lost can do...excited for it to be more, but in slow, steady and sure phases, why the band!

Hi Mjenkins! Am right there with you in the Pre in Pre-op! Did you happen to see the 21-30-51 challenge? The 30 is for those who are about 30 days, lil less now, for 30 min challenge before surgery! I have done it on and off, but now I am challenged (have since Mon!) to do it for the 27 days left til our week of dates! Please join us! Esp, if we don't, Florida Pete will win, and we can't let that happen, he is a guy! hehehe, Just kidding Pete...lead the way (only cause his wonderful Wife is helping):Dancing_sorry:!
