  1. Good Sunday Afternoon Ladies! It is NSV time for me! (Non-Scale Victories) (but they are because if it wasnt for the scale going down, I would not be able to experience these!! LOL) We had our church picnic this morning at the Park...of course concerned in what to wear, i.e. with it being so hot, sweating, uncomfortable, etc. Welll...I had a blast! Yes, a Tank Top, of course the arms look big, but it was cool, started out with an overshirt, but as it got warm, as I ran through the water sprinkler park and played, and then even played Volleyball for a round! With energy to boot! Keeping hydrated, and bringing a little bit of my own meals to eat helped with lots of fluids. I used to dread this kind of outing, can't believe how much fun I had! Reggie, woman, you are on deck! "It's time to make that change", and you are gonna do so well! Heather & smallerj continue to prepare well, Candra too! Candra, no you don't need that much room at all for the Wii Fit, just like a square box round the fit board, and you'll be fine. Tina, you go momma! I know what u mean about the baggy clothes, somethin I also deal with, because if the fat is not there to 'protect' me, something needs to! But I wore a tank top today and worked it (wearing it, not feelin bad). Candi skinny momma, you go, can I have your 16's? lolol Hope the rest of our group is doing well, keep up the liquids with all the heat and get ready to feel less of it with losing more and more 'insulation' (I always had my private supply. lol) Have a good sunday eve.
  2. Hey Tina...look online and read reviews... for the Wii, besides the Fit, there is the EA Sports Active (out 5/19) can use w/ or w/o Fit, Golds Gym workout, My personal trainer and Jillian Micheals workout. So ck them out and find the best for your personal likes! You go girl!!!
  3. Hi Ladies...Reggie, u make me laugh, hehehe, my teenage son and I race on the jogger...he beats me everytime and paces me, but I get some kind of percentage of running, lol. Nadine, dont give up, enjoy it, laugh, and go for it again! I started out falling over with the balance exercises and am amazed at how much sturdier a simple board and technology has gotten me! I would rather show people how they can use it, and work out faithfully in their own home than spend all that money going to a gym, that can be so intimidating! Btway...Ladies and Tina, just talked to Christine, she said she will prob post it tomorrow, but look for a shout out! hehe
  4. Hi Nadine, Next week, EA Sports is coming out with a new Wii Game, called Active, it actually has a sensor to attach and works w/ or w/o the fit! My guys ordered it for me for Mother's Day, I can't wait to use it! Happy moving!
  5. Hi Candra...good for u journaling that food, I am stilllll working on that! For exercise, I continue to walk, which is important before AND right after surgery, although, then will be slower pace & increments. Also, don't know if you have the Wii, but the Wii Fit really helped me to get moving! Started losing with just that alone!
  6. Good Morn Ladies! Riley woman, how are you? Sorry I didnt make it the other day, was so surprised when I saw that you were gonna be there, shux! Did anyone take pics? Still would like to stop by there sometime when maybe coming home from the bay for a fill. Do you work during the day? Christine, go momma go! Will be waiting to hear/see how it went! Cool a real life vlog of a fill! Tina, don't beat yourself up about the weight, sounds like you are going at a good rate, one your body is working with, for it to be gone forever! You are working the tool and that is where its at! Nicole how is your knee? Pam, u work it! Candi, hope to see u soon! Reggie, u are in my prayers...next batter up! For the new 'Pre-ops' congrats on EACH step you are taking now to get healthier, it WIll pay off!
  7. Hi Desperate, I had surgery in SSF, but I am honored to hang out with these Rich-mond ladies, I use Fitday.com, had compared with the others and I like their software, can even get a desktop one! Glad to see u did orientation, wishing u well!
  8. Hi there ladies...we want pictures, we want pictures! I am so sad I missed yesterday, got called in to a sub job in the morn, shux. Reggie and Riley woman, I really wanted to meet you both! Sounds like a good time was had by all, and the simple getting together and strong support, just what I need! Candi, sounds like you are doing better, drop a line when u get time! Christine, you know I'm gonna ask where the vlog? lol, If I dont get to meet, it's the next best thing, lol. Nicole, Tina, Pam, I enjoy just reading ea post and your progress! Tina the work distraction, does help with not snackin, doesnt it? hehehe Still in the losing mode even after the last 'Tom', may not be as much as some expect, but I am pleased. My next fill is Tuesday, May 26th...in which I am still feeling restriction now! It is interesting learning the true difference between body hunger and head hunger...listening to our own bodies 'soft signs' something I ignored (sadly) before, kinda like eating myself numb to ignore something else. It is our 'substance of abuse' and learning now how to care of business and take better care of me, therefore for my family, friends and health! Have a healthy day of good choices!
  9. HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY EVERYONE!!! Hope everyone is having a good day today... Candi hope you are doing better - pls call if need too, Tina with getting ready to go back to work, which is kinda good in that it helps getting back into a routine and distracted from eating, Christine, I wanna a new vlog, hehe, Nicole - your husband's new job is still in prayer, we won't hear about Rich's yet hopefully by the end of the month, it is a job bid for the place he is already, but will be promoted...Pam - how are you doing, keeping busy? Reggie - can't wait to meet you, will keep you in prayer as you prepare, but lookin at your pic, you are so pretty already! Riley - how are you, and when is a good day to stop by coming home from the bay? To the newcomers, continue to research good and bad to be prepared, it helps to understand many aspects of the band. Sorry, I always type to much...but here goes.. Today is my 5th Bandiversary...AND I wore a size 16 dress!!! It has been at least 10 years perhaps more, my guys were so complimentary as well as people at church. Oh, and my guys prebought the EA SPorts Active Game for the Wii for me! Wooohooo (til I am sweating with it, lol) Just want to encourage you ladies, to stay the course...and it is not always easy, but we are not in the race just to be in first place, but to finish well! Just coming off a plateau, and seeing the body change is so rewarding...I think it is like the winter months when the roots and changes are still happening underground (body shifts the weight) and then Spring, it releases more weight. Now getting my mind and emotions ready for the next level (or downsize), as I am getting healthy and feeling stronger (endurance) everyday!
  10. Evenin all you RICH-mond ladies! Ok, so I confess, glad it is mostly ladies in here, although I am sure guys read it all. Yes, they will still do the surgery, that is what I was told, but I really planned away from it, lol. Glad to see you getting ready Reggie...remember, walk, water and west (rest!) before and after! Will keep in you prayers! Candi woman, yeahh you 'lil' bandster! hehehe, so sorry bout the pain, did JT dig out the heating pad? IF not, I will drive it down tomorrow! lol At least you are moving about and more cohesive, been thinking bout you lots!!! Please call for any reason! Welcome Zoe, you will find much support, answers and real stories here, which will help with your decision! We all do the weight thing...one way or another, too shy for before pics yet! lolol Well have a blessed eve all, I will be going to chat tonite about 7:30 - 8:00 if interested!
  11. Hello all Sisters of Surgery! (SOS) Glad to see you all like the picture, it is a pretty good one, just to think how much WE have lost 321+ lbs...and sisterships/friendships we have gained! I still can't wait to meet Reggie, and Candra, also InsideOut (great name)! Our group is growing, but WE are the biggest losers yet winners! Pam, so sorry you are not feeling well today, pls take good care of yourself, with so much going around out there! Which is a good warning to the pre-oppers, stay well, and take care of yourself well BEFORE surgery, so no x-cels do to illness! Riley woman, we must set a date as a group to meet the real woman before we can't even see YOU! LOL! Candra, glad to see you are moving along so well, take your time in learning the food meals, try not to indulge as much, due to not wanting to make liver unhealthy before surgery, the pre-op is to help get it ready...also, not to scare anyone, but some patients HAVE gone in for surgery and found no band was implanted due to liver was to large. You will be able to eat most things after surgery, AFTER losing the weight, but that is WHY I chose this surgery, to truly have a tool to help me learn the proper ways of taking care of my body, with exercise, eating well, and yet enjoy life in moderation! I too have sleep apnea, and have already gone down in pressure amount in machine! Also, I just can't BELIEVE the energy AND stamina I have already, just from the weight lost and look forward to more NSVs! Sure I will take a nap now and then, but learning to listen to the soft signs of our body helps me to bring the balance! ANY questions you have we are glad to help, this wonderful group of RICHmond ladies are incredible! By the way...yes u lose some hair, but it will grow back, and there are vitamins, shampoos and others things to help! Candi woman! Thank JT for not leaving us in the lurch, what a wonderful support he is...and now we wanna hear from U, wonderful pretty momma!

  21. Hey everyone...just wanted to include an encouragement for drinking our water...from a book called...The Total Temple Makeover by Dr. Gregory Jantz... www.aplaceofhope.com Just starting the 90 day quick chapters, day 3 is... New Habit #1 THINK WATER--the most important "food" for your body!!! Making sure your body is properly hydrated is the cornerstone of healthy eating. The benefits of proper hydration are tooo numerous to mention. Your skin, hair, organs, digestion-practically every body part and function benefits! How bout these... Aids in fat metabolism, Helps concentration (I need that one, lol and Wynn too, lol) Gives proper muscle tone, Improves mood, Regulates blood pressure and (a fav for us) Decreases water retention! Hope this helps, go chat bandsters, go!!!
