  1. Yes ! I Have experienced the rib pain also on my left side. I had surgery 10/24/08. I think it might be from gas. What helped me is taking gas ex extra strength.
  2. Hey everyone, I was banded 10/24/08 and I have lost 16lbs :thumbup:since post-op on full liquids!! I started soft and purees today. I find it is a little difficult deciding on what to eat. I have to prepare and prepackage my food prior to leaving my house. I am doing well with my port pain now. Intially I had moderates amounts of port pain. I also experienced sharp stabbing, left mid back and left rib area pain. It was gas! I took gas ex extra strength jel capsules and it helped. I too had a bad hunger gasey feeling in my stomach and drinking warm peppermint/mint tea helped. Congrats to everyone! We are on our way now!!!:rolleyes2:
  3. Hi debbietx, I got my band placed 10/24/08. Doing pretty well for post-op day 1. Im drinking the unjury protein shakes. They taste good. I got chocolate, vanallia, and strawberry sherbert. I have to have 3 protein shakes and 1 snack for 1 week. How is everything with you? Oh by the way my Dr. put me on clears the day before sugery and i had to use phospho soda oral saline laxative.
  4. My dietician did not recommend a liquid diet for me. Why is that? Surgery Date 10/24/08:wub:
