  3. The website says a new Biggest Loser: Couples (Season 8) returns this Fall. I'm guessing it will start sometime in August. They just announced yesterday that they are officially casting for Season 9.
  4. Unfortunately that's not true. 1st place wins 250k and the 1st place at-home wins 100k. No one else gets anything, except their health of course.
  5. Helen was 117 at the finale, she had lost 140 pounds (down from 257 when she started). I'm not sure where you read that the show had her put back on 20lbs, but it's only been 6 days since the finale, and I don't see the show telling her to gain weight after the finale is over. And I don't think her body could have handled 97lbs!
  6. I'm really bummed that Helen won. I think she looked like she'd been fasting for a week or two. Tara looked much better IMO, much healthier. And Mike - wow, just wow. He's going to get so much attention from the girls when he gets to college.
  7. I saw Daniel tonight at the gym. He's lost 148lbs!!! He looks great! He said that all the contestants are weighing in on Sunday morning. I can't quite figure out the reasoning behind that, other than they don't want all the contestants looking dehydrated and pale at the Finale on Tuesday. Just wanted to update everyone on his progress!!
  8. I'm so happy that Ron finished the challenge. Finally, for one week, all you naysayers in this thread can't say anything about him. It gets old reading the same old back and forth over and over again. Also, Jillian is most definitely gay. Daniel was on campus with her for two months or more. I'd believe him over the internet any day. What makes you think Jillian wants to be out in the open about her sexuality? It's no one's business.
  9. Where did it say she wasn't gay? It came straight from Daniel, Orange Team member this season. I am pretty sure he'd know since he was on campus with her for so long?
  10. According to Daniel (Orange Team and my Gold's Gym buddy), they went home around the end of February. And think of it this way guys...Allison Sweeney's baby was born January 12th, and that was only like 3 or 4 weeks ago in Biggest Loser shows. So they will return to campus having had about 2 1/2 months at home. Usually it's 3 months, so that sounds about right.
  11. I'm just really glad that Jillian yelled at Tara in the first segment of the show, telling her to quit being selfish about wanting to keep Laura on campus another week. Tara only wanted Laura on campus so she had another vote, and Jillian was right - Laura had a crippling injury and needed to go home. I wanted to high five Jillian after that speech! I'm also truly shocked that Mike acted so cocky in Elimination.
  12. Ron said he was 352lbs at 15 years old, and so he hadn't seen 300lbs since before that. That's when Mike said "Mom wasn't even alive then" which means Mom wasn't alive to see Ron at 300lbs, so Mom is probably 15 years (give or take) younger than Ron.
  13. I'm actually very proud of Ron this week for sending home the injured player instead of sending home the threat. If you're playing the game, Kristen was the obvious choice, but I'm glad that a few of the people left showed compassion for Laura's injury and sent her home. EbonyRose, sorry you missed it. But I saw this in the grocery store last week and almost picked it up, but I didn't want to ruin the surprise for this week. Check your stands for it, I'm sure it's got awesome pictures and stories! 14. Obviously I said that before this week's episode. I'm shocked he'd say that, it came across extremely rude and callous and just downright mean. I don't think very highly of him right now.
  15. I think she should have kept Sione, if only to play the game. Sione and Filipe would have had her's and Tara's back until the finals, and the 4 of them could have gone all the way.
  16. OMG i can't wait! i think Tara needs to make the move to be the judge, cuz i think she'd be the one to vote off since she's the biggest threat!
  17. ^Vicki was upset because she didn't think she was that bad. She said that every bad thing she ever said during the whole season was put on-air, yet things her husband said during interviews that was equally bad was omitted. Heba/Ed (who are also some of my Raleigh peeps) were equally as manipulative in the end, especially Heba, but that didn't get shown on TV either. Yeah when Daniel told me that about Vicki, I guess I wasn't too terribly surprised. I mean, I've seen the Real World enough times to know that producers of reality TV like to pick and choose certain conversations to skew things one way or the other. I had hoped BL would be different, but that Vicki/Brady drama was money for them. Daniel also told me that during the interviews, the people who were interviewing them would say, "So-and-so told us that you didn't like whats-his-face because of such-and-such. Is there any truth to that?" They'd try to get the contestants to talk badly about one another on camera that way. And the fact is, so-and-so never actually said anything like that, but they tell the contestants they did just to see what kind of drama they can stir up. I don't know how true it is, but it seems like the kind of thing reality TV producers would do to ensure drama. That being said, there isn't anyone in the house right now that I actually despise. I think Ron has a big heart and wants to do what's best for his son, even if it means "playing the game" and being manipulative. And the cousins Sione and Filipe were just pissed off that BL made them switch trainers. And honestly, if I was on the treadmill for 2+ hours and my trainer (Jillian) ignored me and worked with everyone else, I'd be pissed off too, and likely throw a tantrum to get my point across. And I still think Tara is a beast and deserves to win it all just cuz she's the bomb. :smile2:
