Psych Eval Today
Seems everyone got results back quick. Not me, I waited so long I called and asked "did I flunk?' LOL they were just really backed up. Had my surgery a year ago this past November. Best thing I ever did for myself.

Stalls suck
I stalled at 6 months for about 9 weeks it was awful but i stuck to the program and the weight started to come off again. Just saw my surgeon and I am no longer in the obese category, overweight and I quote my Dr. "not by much" I need to lose about 25 more LBS. I know it will be much slower now but i am sticking with it. You will start to lose again don't give up!

Stall and it is awful!
Thanks for the replies everyone. It seems like there is so much confusing information out there, I am going to stick with the plan and not allow this to throw me back into bad habits. I am calling to make an appointment with dietition at the surgery center I went to, they have a year follow up program and i need to utilize it more than just going to support group monthly. Starting back to yoga, going to my first class tonight. I am just praying this breaks soon!!!

So over protein shakes
I was the same way. A friend of mine who is nurse helped me but my issue was the sweetness, she added some FF greek yogurt, unflavored, the protein shake a a little coconut milk. It made a huge difference in my being able to tolerate the shakes without getting nauseous.

Stall and it is awful!
I had my surgery on Nov 29, 2022. Things have been going really well then boom the dreaded stall has hit. I haven't lost anything in about 6 weeks. I have been monitoring what I am eating, making sure i get in the vitamins and protein. I do need to increase my exercise, I am so worn out after working all day. I am seeking any suggestions on how to break thru this stall. It is driving me crazy.....

Alternative to surgery (due to cost and GERD fears)
My surgeon in Las Vegas repaired a small HH during my sleeve surgery. I didn't know I had the HH but am glad he saw it and took the initative to repair. I had my surgery through the Surgical Weight Control Center, the surgeon was Dr. Marc Leduc and he is absolutely wonderful, very knowledgeable and professional, great bedside manner. I had my three month check up yesterday and am down 54 LBS. I have gratefully not had any complications and did not even have to take one pain med after the surgery. Highly recommend SWCC and Dr. Leduc.

Post-op Forgetfulness?
Yes, I had a period when i returned to work where I had to call my supervisor a million times because I couldn't remember where to find forms in the computer system, who I should send the different ones to for approval and just some crazy things. It is better now though.

Depending on who is asking I will tell them I had the surgery others i just say "really, you think I have lost weight?" then shrug my shoulders when they say "yeah you are disppearing before my eyes."

Day 11 PO - Severe/sharp pain left side
I have had some pain in my left side as well. It is up a little higher though. My surgeon said he thought it was muscle related and would improve with time and it has. I had the surgery on Nov. 29, 2022.
