  1. I have been having trouble getting here all day. Is there something going on, or is it just me?
  2. No problem. Did it work? Let me know if you are still having trouble, maybe between the two of us, we can figure it out.
  3. Congrats! I remember that feeling of excitement (like I have gotten rid of it yet). My surgeon's office said the same thing about not scheduling without the letter, BUT they accepted an emailed approval acknowledgement from my insurance company that was sent to me (I emailed my insurance company to find out if I had been approved). You never know, they may schedule you with that?
  4. The easy way is to click on your ticker (that will take you to your ticker at ticker factory), then put in the pin number that you created when you made your ticker. That will allow you to update the information you put in without having to recopy the URL. If you don't remember the pin number that you created, then just make another ticker. Hope this helps.
  5. woooooooohooooooo!
  6. Congrats on your rebanding! I live on the scale too, and it is driving me nuts! I need to take the batteries out of it!
  7. Even in my skinny days, my breasts were NEVER perky. I have been thinking about implants for years. I just felt there was no point in getting them while fat. After I lose my weight, I plan to use that as an excuse to go ahead and have it done.
  8. My husband is 35. Usually he lasts about 30 minutes or until I get mines (whichever comes first...pun intended). After I get mines, I am like several others and want it to be over. I TRY not to be selfish, but hey...
  9. Congrats on your surgery! Awesome job on the pre-op diet!
  10. I knew something was wrong with my sleeping patterns. I would wake up several times a night (a couple of times choking to breath). I was so tired during the day that by lunch time, I was exhausted. I finally told my PCP who sent me for a sleep study. I have been using my CPAP now for 2 years. I can't sleep without it now. I figure I will continue to use it after weight loss because it soothes me. Talk to your doctor about your symptoms. I hope this helps.
  11. Dr. Ponce is doing my surgery at Memorial Hospital.
  12. You made a mistake. Forgive youself and get back on track. We are all going to be on a learning curve, so expect to make errors in judgement at some point without thinking. You have been doing well up to now, so just dust yourself off and keep going.
  13. I spoke to my surgeon's office today. They said that I don't have to drink all six shakes a day. She said just for me to drink as many of them as I want to up to the six.
  14. I know that they aren't good for us long term. My GYN's plan is to make me have another ablation to see if that will fix my period problem. I am hoping that once I lose some of this weight, that it will correct itself. I guess I will see soon. Thanks though for the info.
  15. I had my pre-op testing today, and they said no to all of them. No jewelry, nails, or nail polish. Of course, as stated before, every place is different. Just call them and ask.
  16. Ok so I have decided on The Enforcer! I have a feeling it will do the job well!
  17. The Enforcer!
  18. I knew I could count on you. I will call them in the morning. I forced myself to drink another one a few minutes ago. Today was the first time that I didn't drink 6. It might have something to do with my upper GI today. I didn't want ANYTHING after that. Thanks Restless!
  19. I have always wondered if it can be genetic. Don't get me wrong, I know that I had to eat the McDonald's for me to wear it on my butt and belly, but I know a lot of skinny people that eat more than I ever have (my husband for example) and they never gain weight. On my dad's side of the family, only the women are severely overweight. On my mom's side of the family, everyone is overweight. My mom had 11 brothers and sisters. Of those still living, there isn't a single one that doesn't have type 2 diabeties, high blood pressure, etc. Now my generation is worse, I have had 2 cousins in their early 40s die of weight related deseases. That was a wake up call for me.
  20. Ok, I am on the pre-op liquid diet. I know that it can have dire consequences if I eat things that aren't allowed. What about if I am not taking it all in, do you think that can be a problem? My doc says drink 6 glucerna shakes a day. After drinking one per meal, I feel like I am swimming. I am getting my fluids in, but 6 shakes is really pushing it for me. Do you think that will be an issue, or should I force myself to do 6 shakes?
  21. No problem. My policy basically said the same thing that yours said. We can never know for sure until we ask! I hope everything turns out right for you!
