  1. I feel sorry for what you are going through, and an incredible amount of rage directed at this man I don't even know!

    Beth-I agree with Tap. I am feeling so much anger about this entire situation. It isn't like he doesn't know what is going on. For him to sit back like a job is going to come knocking on the front door is awful. I hope things turn around. I hope the thought of losing you is enough to light a fire under his behind.

  2. Morning everyone.

    Heartfire-I am more concerned about between adjustments. It seems to take me about 3 or 4 weeks to get to the point where I can chew properly (without pain or discomfort). I get the braces adjusted every 6 weeks. I can't do liquids until I get the braces off, but if I get a band adjustment, I will be risking getting stuck a lot. I went through that when I first got the things. I got stuck several times a day. Not a good feeling.

  3. it's a PITA most days, but exercise to counter the calories?

    :blushing:

    Crappola! I need to be doing that on a more regular basis. I am having a difficult time finding an exercise that I like enough to keep doing it. So far, I just want the magic bullet that takes the weight off, keeps it off, and makes me tone all at the same time. Of course, I do live in "fantasy land" most days...:blush:

    so as i turn on the news - i hear that a plane has been hijacked in MX City......DH had a 11am flight there.

    just off the phone w/him, his plane had to circle around the city for an hr till they were cleared to land ......whew:mellow:

    I am glad to know that your DH is ok.

  4. It is obvious to me that I need a fill in the worse way. I have been starving the last few days! Although I haven't gone over calorie wise today, I have eaten like a porker! I am scared to get a fill because of how often I am getting the braces adjusted. I am scared that will my difficulty chewing, I won't be able to get anything down. Any suggestions?

  5. welcome~!~

    I second that emotion...(done in a horrible Smokey Robinson voice)

    Today has been horrid!

    B-coffee w/torani SF Syrup (my delivery finally arrived, yay!:blush:), chobani peach yogurt

    L-KFC fried leg, thigh, and mashed potatoes (just shoot me now):blushing:

    S-klondike bar:eek::blush::eek:

    D-Thanksgiving casserole, cranberry sauce:eek::blush:

    Obviously, I need a fill in the worst way. I am scared to get one because of my continued mouth issues with the braces. I won't be able to get food down if I can't chew it.:blush: (of course, looking at what I ate today, you would think I wasn't having trouble chewing. Go figure.)

  6. I AM PISSED!

    Apparently while I was in the airport yesterday (used the tmobile hotspot for internet access) somebody stole my credit card # used to pay the 7.99 all day charge for the access.

    I know it wasn't from any gift shop/coffee shop purchase b/c I used my travel credit card and cash for that.

    They apparently bought several hundred dollars worth of stuff at Bebe.com

    I know the fraud lady was just being thorough - but she was like are you sure you didnt purchase this stuff - I was like lady - I couldnt dream of fitting into anything they make (which I only now know - b/c I had to go online to figure out what they were)

    So now they have to close down that account which really stinks b/c that's how all my electronic bills are paid - uuuggghhhhh!

    That is so awful! It still boggles my mind the absolute gall of people! They will reverse it all won't they? Have you verified all of your other credit card accounts haven't been stolen?

  7. sorta enjoying a bit of travel back in his gig, so i can get "stuff" done:)

    My DH had to travel quite a bit when he first started his current job. We all (me, DS, and DH) enjoyed DH being gone during the week. My grocery bill went down. Utility bills went down. Then the travel just stopped. It was awful getting used to him being underfoot again. :thumbup:

  8. MILD?!? What kind of craziness is that?? coffee - strong, black, caffeinated, hot. Mild - pshaw! I'm sure that's a food law they are breaking!

    Food law... Laws of nature... I really hate that I paid for this huge canister of MILD coffee. I am going back to the store this afternoon to get the right kind. I cannot start my mornings with this crud. I should not have to put 12 scoops of coffee in for 6 cups. Even after doing that, it is only drinkable. Not good at all.:thumbup:

  9. I'm on cup #2...

    I am brewing another pot of coffee. I kept thinking that my cup of coffee tasted off. I came into the kitchen only to notice that I purchased a different version of my coffee. It tastes like water! I put in double the amount of coffee for this new pot. I hope that works. I don't want to stop at a drive thru to get a cup of coffee. I don't want to, but I will...

  10. But isn't one of those benefits effective representation when meeting management? At least, it should be!

    At my company at least, it is. Our reps are actually sent to a school to learn about what it takes to provide good representation. Every opportunity that I have had to deal with our reps, they have gathered their information similar to lawyers preparing for a trial. That's not to say that there aren't bad reps out there (like the one that Ebony has been dealing with), just none of the ones that I have dealt with here.
