  1. I got my gastric bypass on September 7th 2022, and I’m not really losing weight yet… Is this normal? You would think the weight would be coming off being that I’m only on a full liquid diet, and following it exactly how they advise. Also has anyone else had an issue with elevated pulse? I had tachycardia before my gastric bypass, but was still cleared for surgery, however at the office last week my pulse was 167 which is way higher than it typically is. Also on lovenox injections. Super dizzy whenever I get up to walk around, has anyone else had this issue? I do have an appointment with my cardiologist on the 26th.
  2. Have any of the ladies on here had issues with their cycle? I had surgery (GB) on September 7th, I was on my period before surgery and I’m still on it! It’s extremely heavy, I’m also on blood thinners…. Has anyone else experienced this?

    For the ladies

Thank god my tubes are done as well lol … Wednesday will mark week 3 of my period and it’s been horrible… I really hope it stops soon 😭 thanks for the response it’s given me some hope that it will stop 🤞🏻
  4. They definitely are weird!! It’s so frustrating because I lost more weight on my 2 week liquid diet than I have since surgery… My surgeon says GB supposedly loses more weight, so I was expecting something by now. I am still swollen, so that may not help either. I just have this fear like omg did I do this for nothing 😳
  5. It’s so hard not to get on the scale, it hasn’t been easy the diet and life style change that I just so badly want to see the work put in reflected on the scale.

I have my tubes tied thankfully 😃
  7. I’m really struggling with getting enough protein… I think my water intake is ok. I get a little apple sauce, cottage cheese, and sugar free pudding in here and there…. But I never feel the fullness cue they talk about, but idk if I’m eating enough to feel it either because I’m afraid to over eat. Hopefully I get more comfortable as time goes on.

I love this response ❤️ and this is basically what I will be striving for. This is exactly what my food behavioral therapist recommends. 😃

  11. Wow, that’s awesome to hear. Thanks for the info I’ll keep that in mind.
  12. So you can switch a GB to a DS? I was just reading about those and kind of wish I would have known that was an option.

Actually my behavioral food therapist ( she is also a dietitian) says that treating yourself is ok, and that she doesn’t want me to completely deprive myself of anything. That being said not until I heal.
