  1. First off, a very hardy Congratulations!!!!:clap2: Secondly an important question.:ban: Currently, due to the weight, if I have been sitting for awhile, when I stand up, I HAVE to pee. I mean, its that "gotta go, gotta go right now commerical" have to pee. Did you used to have that problem before hand? Do you see it lessening as you have lost weight? I do Keagle excercises all the time, but thats not helping got to go feeling, just the keeping it in.
  2. If I open a restaurant that only serves beef and cater's to beef eaters, would vegetarians have the right to sue? I am not saying they cant come in and drink something but I am not going to offer a veggie platter just to suit them. I think it is wrong for the government to step in and tell a private business who they have to have a clientel. If a business suffers due to who they are not servicing, then that is the way capitalism works. Eharmony is not the only service that offers match-ups. There have been some lawsuits against some work out establishments for women only where men want to come work out there. I think that is wrong. It is the same thing. It is a business that caters to a specific customer base. I also support xxx(insert group) only work out places, xxx only clubs and xxx only what ever else you can think of. Oh and the military thing, listening to a commander at a base talk, he said that for the most part, he does not care who is what. What he did say is that where the problem lies is similar to why women and men are not in the same unit. As humans who have needs and desires and attraction, the military frowns on any kind of romantic relationship within the ranks. You should be willing to fight as a unit and protect eachother equally. And if it gets down to brass tacks, are you going to try to save your mortally wounded romantic partner on the battlefield or a less wounded platoon companion? Most times, you try to save the ones you love over your "just a friend". Love does not help you think straight, especially in the heat of the moment.
  3. Its not like they pumped this guy full of drugs, and it failed 10 time.. they had a problem finding an IV site. So what?? They had to needle stick him more than once. I've had that happen to me when I get my blood drawn. I see nothing at all cruel and unusual about that. Every phelbotomist has an off day.

    Illegal aliens

My father came to this country not speaking a lick of English. Due to the state of the world, not too long after WWII, it was very hard for him since he came from Germany. He even had to be 'adopted' by his father due to some weird laws at the time so he could get citizenship. My Grandmother had to go thru all the rigamarowe of citizenship paperwork. Why should anyone else be any different? Live here, work here, love here. But darn it, do it legally. And as far as the language thing. We are a melting pot, but we have to have a pot to melt into. That pot is a common language, English. How can you melt into a community if you insist on being separate? Keep your heritage, but learn something new. And dont tell me you are too old to learn a new language. My Grandma did it at 30 something. People from other countries do it all the time. There are no German/French/Indian (from India) /Romanian translations. And I am pretty sure they are coming to this country too.
  7. Everyone has to have a lable. Its aggrevating to the n-th degree. Are you walking down this path in life stuck in a political party even if you only are for 50% of what they stand for??? Is it disgusting to you that the laws are being written that they either fall so far left or so far right, that you only feel like you can half way support it? Im sick of this disgusting us or them, democrat or republican, all right or all wrong mentality that has stricken this country. It seems that if you even waiver for a minute to the "other side" (of what ever issue) you have to be a part of the "other group". I, for one, am going to say it. Republicans have good ideas, Democrats have good ideas, sometimes, both parties have ideas that SUCK. Same goes for what ever "camp" you happen to be in, political or not. Why does everyone have to sing the "their my party, got to toe the line" on crap you really cant support because its only "they thought of it first, so I cant support them" ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! @#$!$%)$68 Ok, rant over.

    Something I have noticed...

I believe he is talking sex/sexuality in general. Esp on tv. THere is nothing wrong in Europe to show a commercial of a woman a whole lot more nekked in the shower than it is here. And they seem to have less violent tv. IMHO

To Spank or not to Spank

I disagree that the occasional spaking is going to damage anyone's self esteem. If you are spanking your child daily, you need to re-evaluate your approach. The same thing goes if you having to put your child in time out daily. I use both punishments based on the "Crime" Most of the time, I tell my kid once to stop what ever bad thing is being done and it is stopped.

To Spank or not to Spank

It depends on how it is used and how the child reacts to it. If they react better to time outs or restriction type punshiments, do that If they react better to spanking, do that. Most of the the time, the threat is all thats needed

    Non-Band Related Forums

So much for trying to appeal to possibly a younger audience. There is a lot in the r and r section that is not for younger eyes. And young bandsters do need a place to find info.

    Change?

It only works if you keep marking it "read" The moment someone comes along and posts.. its "fresh" again

Does anyone else use Proactiv? All of my shirts are starting to be bleached looking around the neck line from it. HELP! Does anyone know anything to counter act it?

    Change?

The r and r forum is only popular to a limited population base of lbt.
  18. wavydaby

    Non-Band Related Forums

Exactly.. if someone wants to be exposed to r and r , they scroll down to the lbt community thread and click on the r and r forum. It doesnt automatically pop up
  19. wavydaby

    Change?

Again... its the same people who post here... the same people who push it to the top. Its not more popular when the same group push it to the top over and over again If you a have 1000 people on a board and 960 are spread over 1490 threads, and 40 people on 10 threads, it only looks like the 10 that the 40 are on are more popular

    Non-Band Related Forums

Critical thing..."all but" Its not censorship. Censorship would be to take it away. THis is just limited exposure
  21. wavydaby

    Change?

Its getting hard to post the same things on two threads.. But.. Its not protection. Its being discrete. Like not saying, "I F'ed your daughter" to your father in law, but "Hey, we are going to have a baby" Protection would be making r and r special access. Im not saying, take it away, Im just saying, lets not give it a spotlight when the spotlight should be on "suzie smiths congrats thread that she made goal"
  22. wavydaby

    Change?

Why are you so defensive to have r and r out there?
  23. wavydaby

    Change?

Its only a hot topic for about 40 or so vocal people. Just looking at r and r, the same people tend to post. Looking at the forum as a whole.. there are HUNDREDS who dont. And the more contraversial a thread is, the more that 40 people post to it and push it to the top. And 40 is an estimate.. lets not go crazy and ask for sql queries.
  24. wavydaby

    Change?

Yes, like Letha said It takes away from the support site. Newbies hit the link to an r and r thread read it, freak and post "why" There are some very very contraversial things in r and r that can be offensive to a wide range of people. Its not preventing posting, just taking the focus off of r and r. What is wrong with limiting its exposure? Other than it will take an extra click to get to r and r?
