  1. Kristin, I just had to reply to your post because a few days ago, I bought my first pair of size 14 jeans in over 10 years. Yaaayyyyy us! Goodluck in the rest of your weight loss journey!
  2. secretstolen- I have a 20 yr old daughter and no, I would never disrespect her like your mom and stepdad disrespected you!
  3. We have to remember that some people are just plain stupid! A person who would make such an idiotic comment should not be worth a second thought. Do we really care what an ill mannered imbesile thinks? People that make those kinds of comments just need to quit trying to "encourage" us fat folks! All kidding aside, these remarks do hurt but we just have to consider the source, I guess.((((hugs))))
  4. I respect Tom Cruise's right to his own opinion, religion, whatever. However, when he goes so far as to tell another person (Brooke Shields, I believe) that she is wrong to take antidepressant medication for post partum depression, he is crossing the line. Mr Cruise needs to keep his religious beliefs and his celebrity separate. It seems that since he has decided to force his religion down people's throats, his popularity has diminished. It would be in the best interest of his career to keep his mouth shut!
  5. With any luck, his sorry ass has already been raped repeatedly in prison!
  6. Sometimes I think that I could pull the switch myself on pervs like that!
  7. Maybe you are just the smartest one!
  8. I guess you got a sampling of opinions. It seems the consensus is.....it depends on the situation and the person. I guess we all agree that one person's opinion is as valuable as another's and that all support is welcome. I do not think lizards are deemons, however. I think they are entirely different species.
  9. I think my trouble is that I CAN eat and post at the same time!:hungry:
  10. Sometimes I feel like those seniors! Bedtime at 9pm sounds good to me. I am on Eastern time so it is 2008 here!
  11. Happy New Year LBTers!:scared:
  12. Ha! No wonder I feel like a newbie. I have only posted 283 times! I am gonna have to get busy!
  13. I have only been an LBT member since May 2006. I honestly still have not read on all the forums this board has to offer. I love the info here but there is a lot to read through. :scared: I have my favorite forums like everyone else, I guess. RnR and food are two of my faves!
  14. Right on Green! This is not a vet only forum in any case, right? I consider myself a newbie but here I am anyway!
  15. I tend to think of the vets as people who have been on the board a long time. I can think of one gal, in particular, who has only been banded a short time but is an old-timer here on the board. I consider her a vet even though I have been banded longer. I think she had insurance issues that prevented her from having her surgery for a long time. I think others consider a vet someone who has been banded a year or two. I guess it is one of those situations where there is no right or wrong answer.......maybe some other folks can give us a better idea of the definition of a vet. Let's hear it !
