klove13 got a reaction from KRod6 in VSG Experience; starting weight 205lbs
Female, 5’5 and day of surgery I was 189.6 I got my surgery on 08/29. At my first appointment I weighed 220. I am currently 166.6 as of 10/07. I didn’t give myself a chance to recover because I was moving apartments(move out date 08/31). I had zero pain, only discomfort when the glue on incision was lifting. I think the pre-op diet and exercise routine helped tremendously for my recovery. I also eat a lot of chicken breast and Protein. I did eat a cheese burger once during my menses because I was feeling constipated- it helped me the next day to be relieved.

No worries...for what it is worth. I may come off cold at times but I am truly trying to help. I truly believe that people can be successful in their journey if they get out of their own way and commit. Some people need a good boot in the ass at times to open their eyes and get serious.

So, I hate to be a wet blanket here and I know everyone is trying to be supportive, but to get major weight loss surgery and after a year being only 22 pounds lighter seems to me to be a bit of a failure....I am just being brutally honest. Part of supporting people is to sometimes tell them the truth and try to get them to take action. If I were in the same situation, I would go back to a low calorie, high Protein, low fat, low/no carb diet and get exercising ASAP. The fact is, there has to be a calorie deficit and it we are gaining weight back, there is an issue with that deficit. Maybe we are not counting all our calories....maybe we are not counting at all......maybe we are doing ZERO exercise......maybe a lot of things but what we do know is that it is not working and we are gaining weight. It is time to reevaluate EVERYTHING and get back to what made weight come of in the first place.

Just wanted to drop a note of encouragement to the folks who are considering surgery, pre-surgery, in the early recovery stages. I had VSG on May 20, 2021 and started out 355 lbs. In a year, I'm down to 237.2. Life is so much easier, I have so much more stamina, and I'm so glad I had surgery and didn't get cold feet. Once I was out of the recovery phase it has been amazing how normal life feels, even if it's a new normal. I am wishing you the best and keep at it! ❤️

I do the ProCare Health one-a-day capsule with 45mg of Iron. I have no issues taking large pills, but if you do, you might have to open it and put it in Yogurt or something. They also make a twice a day capsule that I assume is smaller if that's what you need?
I looked at the specs on eight different bariatric Vitamins and felt like the ProCare Health capsule was the best. (It was also the ones my team recommended.)
