hey Melolo, no I still havent had my surgery my insurance first said I had to wait 6 months well they changed their requirements which was great but I still had to finish up my pre surgery stuff and as of yesterday that is completed now I will see Dr. Fass my surgeon on next thursday to set up a surgery day however I have a girl going on vacaton the end of september and one that wants the first friday of the month in october off so that will be a set back on my surgery scheduling. I am an office manager so it is difficult from time to time. I will have it in october though. I am ready a little nervouse but I am ready. Hey one question I heard that sometimes the doc give medications after surgery that are for gall bladder did ur doc give u any meds to take after surgery?? and Yes , Yes I love LL Cool J still he actually has a new video out and man I even had the dog watching it yesterday on 106th and park do u watch the videos on there ?? he is so hot man... ok let me stop I am at work LOL ] chat with u later good luck and keep in touch

nooch , I sent u a message u will be excited to hear about , humana dell has changed their requirements as of august 1, 2008 u only have to be 100 lbs overweight to have the procedure and u dont have to go through the whole 6 months thing right now. I am on my way to the doc to complete the rest of my things to schedule my surgery contact me if u need more info.

No Larry I dont know of that doc sorry I only know of Dr Fass but I havent heard anything bad about that whole staff and I work for a doctors office. all we can do is pray. have u checked her information on line as far as education?? at southwestbariatric.com?? check it out and good luck to u..

I dont knock going out to the country of Indian doctors hell I work for one and to be honest he is one hell of a doctor I can say that much, thanks for the web site to check on the doctors. There are bad docs in all countries, we all have to do research on them is all.

India huh why would u go there>??? Please be careful sometimes going to foreign countries isnt always good , cheaper maybe! take care !!

My insurance doesnt exclude the WLS it will allow only one per life time, so I am hoping to take advantage of that .. thanks for the info and take care !! Good luck Becky

hey I am sorry to hear u are feeling bad but one day maybe u can help me too get through this, I am sure it is horrible and u are miserable that is one of my greatest fears. I just look at it like that in the end it will all be worth it. How long after were u given something to drink?? How long did u stay there at facility?? What are u drinking now to stay hydrated and how long do u just do liquids?? How are ur incisions feeling?? Any relief with the gas?? Do u have help at home now since u got home ?/ from the family etc?? do u work?? if so when do u return?? Do u have any children?? Thanks for sharing your experience with us it does help up to know how different we all are and how each one of our bodies deal with different things. I do congratulate u all and hope u all start to feel better soon.. I believe I might be having my banding done around October depending on the insurance timing. I am only planing to be out a few days I pray I am able to deal with this and able to return to work soon , lucky fo rme I work for a doctor and he knows I am thinking about doing this procedure so maybe I will be able to come to work and get what I need to do done and go home I am the office manager so I should be fine. again good luck to all of u newly banders and now the process begins remember we are sometimes stronger than we give our selves credit for. I have Humana PPO but it depends on what company has it mine is Humana Dell PPO, my husband works for Dell so I am covered through him. What company is ur insurance though?? Mine does cover 1 bariatric surgery per life time this much I do know... I first went to a True Results seminar and found out later that the were out of network with my insurance so I went and transfered all my records to Southwest Bariatrics here in Austin, Texas so far I was approved only I had to do the 6 month weight loss program and all the other stuff that goes along with it then once all that gets submitted I will see what they will say?? Hey there wow thanks for the info, so did u have to do the 6 month thing too?? How long after all ur paper work was turned in did it take them to approve u??? thanks for the tip on the psych evaluation. So how are u feeling so far?? are u sore, sick to ur stomach?? any nausea, vomiting?? How long before u can eat or drink anything?? did they recommend what type of protein shake to buy?? it is nice to know u, please keep in touch and good luck on ur new life.

I am wondering if anyone has used HUMANA PPO as their insurance and had this procedure approved or denied?? IF so how long did this take?? I am going through my 5th month of my 6 month weight loss program with them , I am also having to meet with a psychologist on Monday. Any one have any ideas what they will be asking me?? Hey there I am from Texas as well Austin to be exact, I am in the final months of getting approved by my insurance so I hope all goes well with it. I am nervous and anxious at the same time, I have lots of questions and no anwers so I hoping to find that here from anyone that is going through this already. I am in my waiting period per my insurance which is 6 months before having my procedure I am in my 5 month alrady.Since I have been having to wait I have had lots of questions in which I dont know anyone who has had the procedure to ask so maybe someone can help me?? What do I have to look forward to the day of the surgery? the first week? How soon were u able to go back to work?? I have a sit down job so I am planning on returning to work with really no time off but for maybe 3 days? Will I be able to do this?? Vomiting is my worse fear can this be avoided?? I would love some feed back if possible thanks austex
