crzytchr, thanks for the advice i will do what everyone else has done from what I have read and that is go out and by some biotin from the drug store and pray that I am one of the ones that doesnt loose much hair.

southerngirl24, I am sitting in ur boat and now just reading that people lose alot of hair what the he_ _ ????? Ok do I do this or what ?? Do I want to look like I have cancer or some disease walking around with no hair I cant imagine ??? Now I am concerned?????????????? I have read all the good stuff but now this .........if everyone goes through it why isnt anyone complaining?? I will have to talk to my surgeon about this for real .................... Maybe we can comfort one another????? If u find out anything on this subject please forward it ot me ........fast!!!

tomatogirl and jason r, Thanks for the info it is alot of help to know these things. I heard there were some good things about it not that the regular band is bad. But since it is new I have looked into it and thought about it, When I told my patient advocate she said my doc does use them and she says he prefers them so I wll get my dvd and other info on it and see how it goes thanks a bunch u guys. Jason so how are u feeling?? I wish u lots of luck. I was just wondering about this?? I have read as well as heard about the Realize Band. Is it suppose to be better? I know it is the lastest band to come out. If u have one i would like to know how it is working?? I was told I will have a choice so I will go with that one. But I would love some feed back on it!! So any thoughts on it ?? If u have it were u given an option?? How does it feel?? Any info will be helpful!! :smile2:

well Carrie, just do ur research what ever choice u make , remember if u get sick or need immediate medical attention , who will want to touch u? When someone else did the work?? I work for a doc and he will not mess with anyone elses work that is for sure, he could wind up in a law suit. How easy is it for u to just go back to Mexico in the spur of a moment should something happen?? ask urself this?? FYI I did ask my surgeon about what causes erosions and band slippage he said why band slippage happens and then he said erosions are not common here in the US he said the only ones he has really heard of are from Mexico and that is cause they put the bands on too tight. So alot of us have given advice or information so now it is up to u to just follow through and check on it, be careful and think things through remember it is ur life and ur future so take ur time to make this decision. Hey MissVicky, welcome I too am kinda of new to this site havent been here that long. I did all I had to do for the insurance and got approval already. My info was submitted one morning and that afternoon I was approved u might check back with ur patient advocate they might just be busy?? I am hoping to have my procedure in or around Sept 18 so we will around the same time. so keep in touch!! Melolo, Yes I have watched that show it has some crazy things on some times about woman dating men in prison, women who are in prison and other things. I watch alot of Lifetime, WE womans channel. That is good, So tell me again when u had it done and how much have u lost if any?? are u saying u are getting hungry alot?? I am nervous, But alot of people are like u can do a diet now once u have that operation u are like that for life ........... goodmorning Melolo, How was ur weekend?? Mine was ok I am tried as u know I have 2 jobs so I am draggin today LOL. I didnt tell u my race I am mexican , all I said was I wasnt black or white LOL I am loca,. HAHA. I did fall in love with the black race, as I said being brought up around them to be honest with u I saw no color no difference in my friends that lived across the street sure I new they were different and we ate tortillas but they did too when they came over as I would try their food too. Their families were so nice to us. We helped each out one another it was fun,. I do understand what u are saying about black guys downing black woman but I am sure that happends in every race. But we as humans come in all colors , shapes (as we know this ) and yet underneath we are all THE SAME !!!!!!! enough on that how is ur day going?? Mine is ok trying to bill out some insurance companies and appealing the ones that dont want to pay.. a headache.. so how are u feeling today??

I have been going through the insurance crap for a while now so I finally got approved and finished up all my pre op requirements i am waiting to see my surgeon one more time Sept 4 and hopefully get my surgery date. I am not black but I do love black people , I was raised around them, and also my husband is black since u asked as well as my son being half black he is a nice looking young man my son that is LOL My sister is married to a black man , my niece has a little girl who is so beautiful who is half black. so see we are not prejudice. we love all colors. Melolo, I think that is neat we both have only one child, I am 38 for got to tell u,. I want to be healthier especially since I too an getting older. SO I can at least try to look a little sexy LOl. I sit on my butt here too all day, I work part time to at a convience store sat/sun so I work 7 days a week and have for 2 years. I occasionally ask for a day off on the weekend though and so that is ok. My husband wants me to quit it after my suregery but I will wait and see I love the money thought it is nice not to be broke LOL I feel like u tired of being married alreay but he is good to me and I do love him.. so I will keep him where did u say u were from or did u?? melolo, It sounds like things worked out well for u!! I am glad.. for u.. What type of work do u do?? If u dont mine me asking do u have chidren ? Are u married?? As for me I do work for a doctor's office as an office manager, and I am married for 7 years now , I have a 19 year old son who is my life. I am hoping that they will keep me grounded and help me through this. They are everything to me and my husband is also doing his own research to figure out what I will be going through so that is nice. keep in touch and good luck!!

melolo, u are doing great, yes that is what I am hearing that everyone is eager to get their first fill so they wont be so hungry, I will know what u are talking about in a few weeks I hope..' Do u work?? Have u gone back to work?? If so how is that coming along?? Did u pay out of pocket or ur insurance pay for it?? My insurance has already approved me so I am just waiting to see the surgeon one more time.. to set up that day.. I will have to pay 1800.00 is all

momcof3, Hey welcome to the site , I too just got on the web site in maybe august myself it has help me alot to understand alot of what I could go through, I also have meet some really positive and sucessful people that are very serious in what they are doing. That is what I needed so I have stayed and to be honest I feel at home with these people on the website , it had been fun and an experience. I havent had my surgery maybe not till Sept. I just recently finished up all my requirements per the surgeon. Well I hope we can be friends, Keep me post and lost of luck to u!!
