I had the surgeons coord call Tricare and they told her the same thing I was told PENDING REVIEW and they told her usualy they take 30 days or up to 60 days. (TriWest sucks)!!!!!:thumbup: Lrt me know if you need help. Our friend JWRN is banded by now. I'm so happy for her.She was a great help and support for me.

HI Meggie. I never heard of the surgeon calling Tricare but I think this is great. I could never expect this from my surgeons office. I emailed my surgeon coord asking her to call to find out what the status is and she never got back to me, not even to say no. YOU HAVE TO APPEAL. Of course I had no answer on my appeal. I call TriWest abt twice a day, but I know will de a Denial. I really think YOU have great chances to win on your appeal, so don't give up.

DOes anyone know for sure if the wesite is 24 hours behind or not? I got diferent ansfers from Tricare people like always.

I spend ALL my day checking online and I call at least 3 times a day. I guess I'm the most hated at Triwest. They never give any diferent info. They always tell me they are "working on my appeal". hehehGood luck.

You've got to be kidding/ OF COURSE you have to appeal. Did they tell you WHY you got denied? I understand I got denied because I have no comorb (I'm prediabetic and high cholesterol, but they do not consider) and I was under the 100lb before so I had to "gain the extra pounds, but you should DEFINETLY appeal.Let me know if you need help. JWRN helped me a lot maybe I can try to help you on your appeal.:wub:

I agree 100% with eveyhing you said. I'm from Brazil and the funny thing it is that I see on my brazilian channel things that are not allowed to show in our television. The WHOLE wold it is sorry for americans for the past 8 years of Republicans at the government and how they were able to DESTROY or at least to a darn good job with our economy and how ugly we look out there with a very stupid president doing whatever he wants and we just let it happened not doing anything about his stupidity. I do not understand how people will not sign up to vote when it is so important. I believe voting it is not only a previlege it is a OBLIGATION. Mr. Mcain can be a great soldier, but honestly we DO NOT NEED A SOLDIER we need the miracle of change. Obama might not be a miracle but I will not take 10% chance with Mr. MCcain.

Is NP Non Provider???? Mine it is also a non provider, but they told me this is not a problem. We have no MTF here.I think you will be approved. JWRN was approved on her appeal in 4 days, but they do tell you UP TO 60DAYS so there is nothing I can do about it. The approval should not take more then 5 days unless they have questions to the Doctor and they take long time to get back t Tricare(happened to me). Let us know as soon as you find out. Oh I just found out th eweb site is 24hous behind, so try callling tomorrow to find out.Or even today.I would.

I have Triwest Prime Remote and it took 7 days to get my denial(the Dr's office took forever to get back to Tricare) and now its being 8 days and the apeal still showing pending.Good luck to you.

Hi, We were always in California(my husband refuses to move out of California). I'm from Brazil and he is from Arizona and we net in San Diego where he was stationed in the Navy and I was there to learn Inglish. When we got married we were in San Diego for one year then we moved to Port Hueneme(Between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara) and we hated the 3 1/2 years we were there. In 2003 we moved back to San Diego ( he joint the US Coast Guard) and we were there for almost 4 years but last year in August we had to move to the Bay Are (San Francisco area). It's nice but nothing is better then SAN DIEGO. I bet if you get to stay there you will never want to move.

I do have NOW high cholesterol and I'm pre diabetic it does not metter to Tricare). I had to "gain" 20lb to send my appeal, hopefully will wok, but since they are taking too long on my appeal (its being 8 days), I think it will be a big NO. When is the surgery again? Good luck.

Meggie, I hope you get it. We are in the same boat now. I'm waiting on my appeal but it can take as long as 60 days, and I guess they will use all of it and in the end will be a big NO!!! I'm sure you will get it, keep ups posted.My fingers are crossed for you.

I just submited my appeal today with lots of help from JWRN with my new weight of 245lb and 5'5". Wish me luck guys. I'm not really confident since I did not get my doctor to say I'm diabetic.

I'm glad for you. I noticed your BMI is under 40. Do you have comorbs? I was denied at 38BMI and I will resubmit since I pu on 20lb and now I'm on 40.8 BMI

Do an appeal and write a letter sometimes I think they just want us to appeal.

The same happened to me and what they gave me was the guide lines (100lb over and one comorb or 200% over weight) and nothing else. I am now over 100lb and I'm trying to get my PCM to prescrive me diabetes meds, but I'm not sure will work. Maybe you need to add some ponds, maybe will work. Get the 200% of your weight adn then you will not needa comorb.

Start your appeal process and do whatever it takes to get it. I packed some "extra weight" hopefully will work this time. I hope I can resubmit next week. Don't give up.
