  1. Update July 27, 2009

So it's been a year since I posted the last blog. I was planning going through an insurance plan through a job I had at the time. I have since then gone back to my old job and have much better health insurance. I'm not getting the realize band. I'm just getting the traditional lap band.

I've also decided to chose Dr. Paul Enochs of Cary, NC.

I have a consultation for the surgery 7/28/2009.
  2. Starting a new life

So for basically my whole life I've struggled with my image even when I wasn't fat. When I was not fat I was ugly, when I was not ugly I just was known as the girl with the big forehead.
I don't want to be any of that anymore. I just want be me.
I've been making an effort to lose weight the past few years in many ways. I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on a gym membership, and not to mention a personal trainer. :crying:
I was going to the gym at least 6 days a week for 45min - 1hour each time. :w00t:

I simply didn't see any results. Just recently I've decided to do this surgery based on the fact that this is my last hope and I'm truely desperate. I'm willing to deal with the pros and cons of this.

I signed up for a seminar on September 8th here in Raleigh, NC.

I've decided to get the "REALIZEBand" and I'm going to Pinehurst,NC by Dr. Kenneth Mitchell.

As much as I'm excited, I'm starting a new job this Monday and my health insurance won't kick in until October 1st. I will be un-inusured for the whole month of September.

I don't know if it pointless to go to the seminar even though I won't have the insurance information. But at least I"ll get important information.

At this moment i'm going from working at a hospital to a doctor's office, so I hope the insurance is the same over there, cause I don't want to feel like I got screwed.

I'll keep you posted on what I find out about the seminar and inform you when I will get the ball rolling on this.

    Wish me luck
