  1. I was in Pakistan visiting and met this dietitian. It was cheap so I wasn’t bothered by the charges and at that time I wasn’t even looking into surgery. im not concerned with insurance covering the cost. My concern is how to meet the 6 months requirement of diet with a dietitian/ nutritionist. Like if anyone had experience with submitting that to the insurance
  2. Did anyone had an experience where did completed there six months of dietitian and nutritionist requirement for the insurance through a nutrition that was outside of United States of America? I followed a diet program through a nutritionist for about eight months but she was located in Pakistan and we did virtual visits every month. I spoke with my insurance company and they told me that I need to submit A claim to the insurance on behalf of the dietitian but I wanted to know if somebody else had that experience and how did everything turned out.
  3. I think you should get the surgery done. I was sort of in similar boat few YEARS ago. Basically I finally build the courage to go with the surgery and started my research and started to lose some weight I think it was 40lbs and then though oh if I can lose this much I don’t need surgery. I was wrong. Soon I hit a stall and to move the stall I was told to have some extra carbs and calories and then it was just so hard. I regret not getting the surgery. so few years later I’m back on researching gastric bypass and scheduled my seminars at 2 hospitals.
  4. That’s amazing. I am trying to gather documents from previous visits to doctors. I tried phentermine and glucophage for weight loss but didn’t lose much. Maybe that can show how I have been trying over the years.
  5. Thanks for the detailed reply. This really helps.
  6. Can you tell me your timeline. From start to end. I have CareFirst insurance. I did some research but still no clear. What were the steps you took from the day you first make your appointment? How long it took you to get to your surgery date? I’m in Alexandria, Virginia and just started to look into weight loss clinics and signed up for one seminar.
