Broth no, I did not wait. Soups I did. They are a little thicker and part of the reason to wait is to allow it to absorb the nutrients from it.

Willing to bet you are having an electrolyte imbalance. I would try chicken broth and Gatorade/power aid. You are likely urinating all of your electrolytes out.
