  1. Oh, JWRN, I'm sorry! that's awful.
  2. I use MaryKay because my mom sells it and give it to me for free. I love the stuff.
  3. I'm supposed to be! :tt1:
  4. Well, I have my psych appt on Thursday (thank goodness I already had the referral in place for it) and then I'll be finished with everything and officially approved. thank goodness.

Have it, love it, would buy it again!:crying:
  6. I know it's total BS. My doctor's office even told the nurse that it was rediculous to keep me waiting so long and then go, "Oh, BTW, you need to do ___, ____, and ____". In the month I was waiting, NO ONE could have mentioned this to me??!?!
  7. OK, so here's my story: My paperwork was submitted on Sept 8. They finally accepted the paperwork Sept 26th(ish) - they never could give me a straight answer to why accepting it had taken so long, but that is neither here nor there. Every. Single. Day. I have called to see if they had an answer yet and every day it was the same thing, "Any day now!" :w00t: Well, today I woke up frustrated and I spoke to a represenative, who transferred me to a medical manager, who transferred me to the main office in Cali to speak with an outpatient manager, who transferred me to the crankiest woman who was the outpatient manager of the DC area , who gave me the number of the head nurse who reviews surgeries for the DC area. I spoke with her and she said that she had JUST gotten my case that morning and she would review and call me back. When she called me back, she told me that I needed more labs and a psych eval:sad:. She asked why I hadn't had them and when I told her that I went by the requirements that TRICARE gave my surgeon's office, she gave me some nonsense about how all the information isn't there for the reps to read to the people calling to ask- that that TriCare website only says that you need the weight/BMI/co-morbidities. It fails to mention the required tests, psych eval, and nutririonist visit. Luckily, I've already seen the nutritionist, so that's one less thing to do and I had asked my PCM for a psych referral ages ago when I started all this, so I don't have to wait for that, either. I called my PCM and she put in for me to get the labs I was missing (H. Pylori and TSH) and my surgeon's office is finding a psych who can give me a consult ASAP so that my husband doesn't have to try and change his leave. I'm just so upset. I thought I was so close to having this done and who knows when I'll be done now. She said if I just get this stuff done, she can approve my surgery. Honestly, though, if I weren't so close, I'd probably just give up.
  8. IA with the above poster. Even if you get someone to finance your surgery, can you pay for the fills?
  9. I went through my MTF to get an appt with the nutritionist. I got my PCM to put in the referral.
  10. Yay JWRN! I'm so excited for you!
  11. I'd wait until a doctor checks you out and give you the OK. Hot tubs are breeding grounds for germs.
  12. You're totally normal. Most people go through this.
  13. Could it be her age? I know at certain points in life premiums skyrocket.
  14. I am just so angry... I've been calling all week about my paperwork being accepted. I kept getting told, "we've recieved it, it just hasn't made it's way into the system." When I questioned it, they would give me the same crap about it takes blah blah blah, give it time, blah blah blah. Anyway, today I called and I got mad. The girl said she didn't know why it hadn't been accepted, so she transferred me over a different dept and they couldn't tell me why it hadn't been accepted either. I was on the phone for a total of 35 minutes (thank goodness for Cars to entertain my son), but by the end of the conversation, my paperwork has been accepted and now I'm waiting on approval.
  15. LOL, I plan on telling everyone that I'm having gallbladder surgery. At least the scars are the same.
  16. yep, they told me they had all of it- all 12 pages. They said it will be up as pending soon as they get it all in the system or whatever.
  17. Nope, their only requirements are what the surgeon requires.
  18. Not even listed. I thought I was looking in the wrong place, but nope, it's just not listed.
  19. I hope so. I called this morning already. They sent the paperwork in last Monday (I think, may have been Tuesday) and the paperwork hasn't even been accepted yet. Ugh. I might call the surgeon and get the insurance lady to talk to them.
  20. I've been a total cow to them. I call every day, sometimes twice a day. My surgeons office marked the surgery as urgent, but when I talked to them today, they said that it doesn't fit the criteria for urgent, so basically, they'll get me an answer when they get me an answer.
  21. Tricare is dragging their feet on me after my PCM dragged her feet. I'm getting really frustrated.Hopefully I will know this week, although at this rate I'll be a Notorious November.
  22. Shouldn't we put this in the Oct 2008 sub-forum? October 2008 Bandsters - Lap Band Surgery and Lap Band Discussion Forum
