How long do i have to wait until i can use my hot tub? My surgery (lap band) was 9/22. My steri strips are still on (i swear, they used super glue), and everything looks to be healing well. I just got the hot tub, and only was able to use it about a week before my surgery. I have arthritis, and I'm dying to get in there!

Any thoughts?

I have heard two weeks. I also have a hot tub and I am three weeks out from surgery. I am going to play it safe and wait about a month or two. Unless you really keep your hot tub well santitized. My dr.s office says its the biggest breeding ground for germs and I don't want to take the risk!

Take a long hot shower and some aleve! I have artritis too!

I'd wait until a doctor checks you out and give you the OK. Hot tubs are breeding grounds for germs.

I agree. Ask your doctor.

My Dr told me to wait 1 month to be sure all was healed. I do water aerobics though, maybe if it is a personal hot tub, not as long.
