Tricare Denial..REVERSED!!
You can go to military facility while using remote- so long as you're willing to make the trip. When my husband was in Iraq in '02, I lived with my parents and had remote. Instead of using remote, I would just schedule my stuff at the Air Force base about an hour and a half away on my mom's off day and we would drive over, do my stuff, then go do other stuff.:grouphug:

Tricare Denial..REVERSED!!
I did my EKG, chest x-ray, and bloodwork last week. Today I had my pre-op physical and tmw I go have my post-op nutrition class. Weeeee! The chest x-ray and the bloodwork were fine (of course), but the EKG sucked. I think everyone at Barquist saw my boobs. The girl who was doing it couldn't get one of the leads to read, so she had to call in the guy who worked with her, who had to bring in a female chaperone with him, then he couldn't get it, so they called in some doctor, who got it on the first try. Good thing I've hd a kid and all my modesty was left on the delivery table. :tongue2:

Cloth vs. Disposable Diapers
Cloth all the way- you can make cloth diapering as hard or as easy as you want to. I second (third?) Fuzzi Bunz- although I hear good things about the newer BumGenius! ones, too (never got to try them before S potty-learned, though). They are simple to use and wash, and they're husband-friendly. I'd be happy to help if you have any questions.

What's up with the Psychologist appt????
My psych appointment was a waste of time, he didn't care what I had to say- he talked to me for maybe 5 minutes then said, "Ok, well, I'll print and sign this and you can pick it up at the front desk." He wouldn't have cared if I told him that I was going to shave my head and run around naked in the snow.

Breastfeeding in public:
Not any more than I should. I'm lacking glandular tissue in both breasts and had to supplement with formula- my son is perfectly healthy and happy. I would have preferred to exclusively breastfeed, but life doesn't always work out the way we've planned. I hate when people say things like that. We all know breastfeeding is best, to make others feel bad for choices does nothing for the cause. When you know better, you do better.

Tricare Denial..REVERSED!!
When the TriNorth lady told me I needed the H.Pylori test and then told me what it was for, I told her she was going to GIVE me stomach ulcers, so there was no reason to test.

Tricare Denial..REVERSED!!
CONGRATS MAGGIES! That is wonderful! When will you possibly be banded? Today has been a good day for 2 TriCare patients, let's hope for 3!

Maggies, it could be true- the website takes about 24 hours to update. Call again and ask a different person

Any October Bandsters!??!?!
Well, I called the head nurse (who doesn approvals for the greater DC area- if anyone needs her number, I have her direct line) for the millionth time yesterday. I told her voice mail that I had done my part that they asked of me in a timely manner, now I deserve the same treatment. That was at 3pm yesterday, at 9am this morning, my surgeon's office called to tell me I had been approved. I think it didn't hurt that the insurance coordinator at the surgeon's office was staying after her, too. The squeeky wheel gets the grease and all.

?ctober ?dyssey 2008
All of those are verrry good places to eat. If someone gets the chicken pot pie at L&S, have a taste- it's fantastic. Maybe you could just skip ordering and have a bite of everyone's meals- there's an idea!

?ctober ?dyssey 2008
Ara, if you area foodie and you want to be good, stay far, far away from the Lady and Sons. I used to live in Savannah, and I know most people want to visit Paula Deen's restaurant, but it's not the place to go unless you don't mind gaining a few! I think I've seen lard-fried butter on the menu.

Breastfeeding in public:
I breastfed any time, anywhere. I wasn't walking around with my breast showing and I didn't put myself on display, but I didn't necessarily cover-up, either.

Any October Bandsters!??!?!
Can you add me, please- my surgery is scheduled for Oct 29th!

Lap Band or Realize Band
I chose the Realize band because that's what my surgeon's office offers. LOL I like it anyway, though. If I hadn't, I would have gone to a different surgeon.

I really will be a smashing pumpkin! 10/29
After stupidity from insurance, I was really wondering if I was still going to be a smashing pumpkin, but I am! My surgeon's office called this morning and let me know they got my approval and I'll still be good to go on Oct 29th. I'm the second surgery of the day. I am over the moon right now! I had been so discouraged and it is finally happening!

TriCare FINALLY approved!
My surgeons office just called and they had just received the approval paperwork. I AM SO RELIEVED! My pre-op physical is Monday, my appt for post-op nutrition is on Tuesday, Thursday I meet my parents to drop off my son to go to Florida for a couple of weeks with them, and then the next Weds (the 29th) I'll be banded. I AM SO EXCITED!!!

Sexy boots for those of us with wide calves!!!
Good to know! Last year I ordered some form the UK that I absolutely adore, but the shipping was awful.

I'm confuse!! Prenatal Vitamins, DHA, EPA
Not true. I had hyperemesis when I was pregnant and the giant prenatals made it worse. I spoke with my midwife and 2 flintstones vitamins is equal to one prenatal. Compare the labels.

Insurance denial!
Fight, baby. It's worth it.

You will not believe this
Maybe he was joking? I wouldn't worry about it, but if you are, go see someone else. I am driving out of my way to see a better more reputible surgeon.
