  1. Go to the control panel area that you added your ticker to, click on the little tool that looks like a picture of a mountain (it's a little square with a pale yellow background and a grey mountain) and it will ask for the link to the picture you want to put in your siggy. Click OK and voila.
  2. Good luck! Think heavy thoughts!
  3. WTG, Fairysaddle! I just did an hour on mine and it kicked my butt. I need to get a silicone cover for it. It's not going to stay pristinely white for long if I don't. I was considering buying the accessory pack and my husband said, "just buy the cover and use a towel". He's right.
  4. Did your surgeon give you the informational booklet from Realize? If not, you can go on their website and request one (or a DVD). It's pretty informational.
  5. There is a sub-forum towards the bottom of the page here about it, but it's not terribly popular. I'm getting the Realize band. I asked my surgeon the differences and he said (other than the online tools, which he thinks are great) there isn't a huge one. The port is smaller, the bands are essentially the same (and the Realize band is NOT triangular when it's filled- I know someone is going to pop up and say it or post that video). The Realie band's "tire" (for lack of better term) is softer. They work essentially the same.
  6. I cannot stress the importance of making sure the Cobra gets their payment on time. hand-deliver it, or, if you have to mail it, make sure you send it with delivery confirmation. My mother got a hysterectomy and her situation was a lot like yours and cobra tried to say they didn't get payment on time. Luckily, they had cashed the check by the date, so everything was cleared up, but COVER YOUR OWN BUTT. They will cover any pre-scheduled surgeries, but MAKE SURE your ducks are in a row.
  7. I actually just kept randomly calling places to see if they had them in-stock. I finally called Game Crazy yesterday and they had 2 in stock and since my husband shops there all the time, they were nice enough to hold one for me until I got there.
  8. Here you go: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/ShannaTrim/logo_phpBB.gif You can even hotlink it. :biggrin2:
  9. The only con I can think of is that you'll have to spend a lot of money on new clothes. Ok, no, really. pros: better health thinner more energy better relationships cons: the buying more clothes thing um, perhaps not being able to eat some of your favorite foods having to give things up (soda, etc) Switzerland (neutral): having to learn a new way of eating and living. This is a lifestyle change. And while it's is a step in the right direction, it's certainly not easy.
  10. (this will be my 4th time typing this, let's see if I can actually post this) I've been putting off buying stuff until I went to the nutritionist, which was today. She brought me a bunch of literature and a card to be able to order off the children's menu. I'm going to go through it tonight and compare it to the lists here and get to shopping.
  11. I wouldn't go to Mexico because of everything RestlessMonkey said, but if you must, go to Dr Ortiz. He has one of the best reputations.
  12. I have an IUD (mirena) as well and my doctor said no, it did not have to be removed.

Sounds like she's a prisoner in her own house, anyway. I wonder how they got the ankle bracelet thingy on her.

The woman weighs over 1,000 lbs and she blames it on a thyroid problem. Insane. No thyroid problem made you gain 800+ lbs.
  15. You shouldn't have even had to pay that. Tricare Prime has no deductibles, unless it was something that wasn't covered. All of my stuff has gone so smoothly. We're submitting paperwork next week and I'm one nervous nelly that my luck has run out.
  16. Mine is the 3rd and I'm about to go insane waiting (and, in all honesty, it's only a week). I think I'm just eager to start the ball rolling in a definite direction.
  17. We had discussed "smashing pumpkins" because that emcompasses fall and halloween (and all things October), but I don't think we've set it in stone. :w00t:
  18. I got a Wii Fit today (in fact, I just got home with it). I can't wait to try it out. The guy at the store was trying to talk me into buying the Wii Fit ski game also, but I passed. Has anyone tried it?
  19. Hey Betelnut, you're just down the highway from me! I don't think your plan is unreasonable, considering she'll be in daycare most of the day. So long as she understands that mommy has an owie and she'll have to be a big girl for a little while, I think it could work out well. There's plenty of people I've seen here who their spouse only took off a couple of days or whatnot and then they were back to being SAHMs.
  20. They do offer a whopping ONE healthy childs plate- grilled chicken, cold, cubed with cheese cubes and 2 sides- I chose grapes and carrots for my son. Other than that, though, it's all cheeseburgers and chicken fingers. Yuck.
  21. Mine should be at the end of Oct (hopefully sooner- will find out definitely next week). I can't wait!
  22. Spiffytif, I am SO glad to hear from someone else who has been banded by Dr. Currie. How is the aftercare?
