Re: "Inverted T" abdominoplasty
I am sorry that Kenya lost her family but lucky her that you were willing to adopt her. I am glad she is a tribute to the origins of her breed than she is to the inbred nightmares that have caused so much trouble. There is a special place in heaven for ppl who rescue animals, I do believe. Mimi

Re: "Inverted T" abdominoplasty
I loved your pictures!!! You have a great waist and a lovely dog, Kenya!!!! Is she a rescue? Your midline incision is healing so nicely it looks like your scarring will be minimal. Your other incision is healing wonderfully, too. You are inspirational!!! I hope I do as good. Mimi

Post-PS weight?
WOW, Ohm, is all I can say!!!! Mimi

port location
It should be right under your longest incision when you are lying down. Mimi

Opinions Needed Please
There is no reason to fear, just make sure that your band isn't pre-filled at the time of surgery. Other than that you will be able to eat anything and do anything. Of course, check with your doctor to be absolutely sure that he has no words of wisdom for you. Have fun, Mimi

I made a photo mantauge of the outfits I'm going to buy when I get to goal....

Where does your weight come off first and last?
Chest and boobs first, belly last. But I know a trick for that, LOL, called Tummy Tuck, March 15th!!!!! Mimi

Protein Shots
Thanks for the info Adagray, that is a great savings. I prefer the orange mixed with orange crystal light. I credit this product for my good recovery from getting my arms reduced and chest put back where it belongs. Mimi

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
It will be fun helping you pick your B'day dress because we already know that your B'day SUIT is wonderful, LOL!!! I loved the story about you getting hit on twice at the gym, what a moral booster. Glad to hear downtown is open for business and your thighs aren't swelling til the evening. Congratulations on not gaining any wt, that is awesome!!! Mimi

Calcium Citrate or Caltrate?
I have read articles on both kinds of calcium and there are drawbacks and benefits from both. Seemed like pretty much of a draw at the end so I go with the chewable flavored kind, 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening. Mimi

Re: "Inverted T" abdominoplasty
I am thrilled that you are up and about, you are an inspiration. Did you need a recliner to get comfortable post op? Mimi

Anyone had severe band tightness after TT?
My TT is scheduled for 4 wks from now, March 15th and no one has mentioned getting an unfill so I am debating whether or not I should do it. I don't mind being tight as long as I can get liquids down. Mimi

forgot to ask.. how long in the hospital?
It could be either way, call your office tomorrow and ask what your insurance and the doctor says. I was overnight in the hospital and wish I had gone straight home to my own bed!!!! Mimi

Fanny Moves to Phase Two
Well, Fanny, I do wish you the best. I know you can do it, you sound determined. I am sorry your fill person is booked so far in advance, but now only a week to wait. We are here for you, keep posting. I have been on 2 binges since last Friday and got my determination cranked up, too, after reading your post. I want to lose 10 pounds before my TT in 4 weeks and sweet slider food is hindering me, so I feel your pain!! Mimi

Biggest Loser 2010
It isn't going to be on again until March 2nd and I am bummed. Although it can be boring, I enjoy it overall and will miss it. Mimi

Yay, you are so resilient!!!!! I am glad you are doing so well. And have a waist!!! Mimi

14cc 5mls added
Some doctors do fill at the time of surgery and 5ml is a significant fill. Once you are off liquids please be very cautious when eating....start the band protocol immediately with very small bites chewing well etc. And don't forget to ask your doc at your first appt. I am a bit jealous as it took me months and hundreds of dollars to get to 5 ml!!!!! Best wishes, Mimi
-
Finally went to the ER!!!!
Some docs leave a small fill in on purpose...if that was the case you should have been told. I am glad you are feeling better now. Mimi

Any ideas? First real problem
Are you sure Slim Fast isn't the problem? They were all recalled a few weeks ago and you might have the bad batch. I agree with the otherposter's about calling your doc if you can't tolerate fluid. Good luck, Mimi
-
not sure if I'm ready for a fill or not. thoughts from some veteran bandsters?
Abby, you sound very hesitant to get a fill, so I think you should go with your instincts. Cancel the appt and reschedule it in 2 weeks. If you still aren't ready, move it another 2 weeks. You are doing well, so why mess with success? Best wishes, Mimi
-
I think I am too tight??
Whillow, having been where you are, I sympathize. Listen to your body, "I feel horrible" says call for a small unfill. Even .1cc or .25cc can make a tremendous difference. We are supposed to have real food without feeling bad. Best wishes and good luck. Mimi
