i have been banded 5 weeks now, i have only lost about 6lbs since then. i am doing the diet, but still it is stalled. i lost about 11 pounds on the pre op diet. has this happened to anyone else,

i have tricare and was approved in less than 2 weeks, on another note, how do you personally tell if your liver is shrinking, is it by urinating a lot? some one said this on another post, just wandering, this is where i am right now. thank you -

i get banded at the end of january or the first of februay. i go back to the dr. jan 12 and then if everything is good i do the 2 week liquid diet. good luck to everyone. merry christmas -
so far the diet is ok, i am really craving some bread, but i have held back, i finally got a call from the nutrionest that i went to, she was supposed to give me a diet guideline to go from, well she didn't and is going to send it by the middle of this next week, i just did the best i could do on my own. so far i have lost about 5 lbs this week, so i guess it is ok. i would love to keep in touch, my email is emuextrain@yahoo.com, my son who was 4 helped me set it up at the time. good luck i am really trying. i did the 6 month diet, and lost about 30 lbs. but i think this is harder.

i think the gastric is a fast lose but it is drastic, i don't want to be down that long. i have a busy life, i am doing the lap band that is right for me. good luck, talk to your diabetic doctor, maybe they can help set your mind at ease. good luck. -

i am going to be banded the end of january, my 2nd appt with the surgeon is jan 12, then they will schedule a surgery if my liver has shrunk enough, i started the preop diet today, i hope i can do it. it is going to be hard to drink those shakes, does anyone have any recommendations thanks:thumbup: -
i am on the pre op diet, 2 protein shakes, a lean meat vegetable lunch, protein for breakfast, is this how your pre op diet is also, i am on it for a month, i hope i am doing it right, i could use some feedback thank you

i go see my dietician on the 25th of this week , the surgeon on dec 9, i am finally on my way. they said surgery sometime after the 1st of the year. if the insurance will pay. always something isn't there.

off the subject, i have tri care also, did you have health problems? i don't and i am worried they will not pay? i am only about 20 lbs from being 200 percent over my ideal weight. did you have a lot of trouble being approved -
i feel the same way that you do. i know i need all the help there is out there for me to suceed in this.
