  1. HI, I am 35 days post of and was doing great. All pain and soreness gone. Then two days ago I started to be sore at the bottom of my port. sharp pains. I felt a lump about as big as a marble just below my port. It is tender and sore. This was not there before. I first thought it was scar tissue -which it may well be but it hurts and is really tender and it wasn't like that before. How would I know if it is an infected stitch or scar tissue? Anyone know? Thanks for the help. My doctor is at Stanford and I am 300 miles away. I am going to see my regular doctor tomorrow but they really do not know anything. Thanks again, Raquel
