You should be able to find a support group for November likely even a surgery date twin.

it's pretty easy to hide in clothes. I've since had mine removed, but before I did, I stuck to 3/4 length (or longer) sleeves, jeans or "tummy control" leggings, and slightly oversized, long-ish tops. No one knew it was there except me and my husband (well, and my doctor). I'm in my 60s and lost over 200 lbs, so yea, I had a lot of it. Here's a picture of me BEFORE I had all the excess skin removed:

I am sorry you feel that way. I was assuming you wanted truthful advice, not just to have people reassure you that everything is going to be ok even if they don't believe that. I will never post to your account again if you don't actually want help to be succesful.

Unhelpful and mean? No maam. I just try to be honest with people and tell them the truth. There is something not right about what is going on there. 20 pounds after a year is not success and to say so is not helpful to the poster. If you want to just be told what you want to hear, then do not post. This is trying to help people, not just make them feel good and continue doing what they are doing.

I just re-read your first post:

I'm eating less in general. I really do think I'm making my calorie counts.

So, you said that you are eating 1200 calories, but here you say you "think" you're making your calorie counts, which to me seems to indicate you're not actually TRACKING your calories. Try for just a week to enter every single thing you eat and drink into a calorie counting program like myfitnesspal or baritastic. Then, see what you're actually eating each day. That will also help you when you meet with a nutritionist, which I strongly recommend

I'll be straight up with you, I have never found a fat person pretty. I'm sorry. I've tried so hard. (Really -- I did my best to date fat folks a couple times because otherwise they were super cool, but my sex drive just cannot work with that. Fat is the opposite of hot to me. I feel bad for those folks having to deal with me. It was over a decade ago haha.)

So, I hate to be a wet blanket here and I know everyone is trying to be supportive, but to get major weight loss surgery and after a year being only 22 pounds lighter seems to me to be a bit of a failure....I am just being brutally honest. Part of supporting people is to sometimes tell them the truth and try to get them to take action. If I were in the same situation, I would go back to a low calorie, high Protein, low fat, low/no carb diet and get exercising ASAP. The fact is, there has to be a calorie deficit and it we are gaining weight back, there is an issue with that deficit. Maybe we are not counting all our calories....maybe we are not counting at all......maybe we are doing ZERO exercise......maybe a lot of things but what we do know is that it is not working and we are gaining weight. It is time to reevaluate EVERYTHING and get back to what made weight come of in the first place.

    All,
I was attacked by another member for telling a poster what I think is the truth to try to give them some tough love and open their eyes to what is happening. When people post on here, it is not a stretch to assume that they have a real problem and are looking at real solutions. What good does it do to reassure people that they are just fine and they are doing the right thing just to make them feel good. They are on here because they have a problem they need help with. If they want to solve the problem, sometimes they are going to have to hear something that may not make them smile. Sometimes the truth hurts and in order to come to a solution, you have to look at everything realistically to make the corrections needed.
I was accused of purposely being unhelpful and I take offense to that. I have posted many more encouraging posts to people than the opposite because most people here just need a little reassurance and they are doing the right things to be successful. Once in a while, people are not doing what their surgical team recommends or may be doing things counterproductive and I have said that point blank. Does that make me a "mean" person as this person accused me of? Maybe, but maybe, just maybe the original poster needed to hear the "mean" truth in order to understand what needs to be done.
Bottom line is, if people post on here, I again assume they want people to be truthful and helpful, not just be a cheerleader and try to make them feel better. They will feel better when they are successful in their journey.

How long did it take? Was it first approval or did you have to appeal? I have BCBS of Illinois and they did a full approval 48 hours after it was submitted to them. I was like WHAAAAAT???? Even my surgeon's office was shocked lol

So I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. My doctor submitted my paperwork on March 30th and I had my approval on April 1st. I'm not kidding. Nobody has ever seen it go that fast.

Sounds like something you need to explain to your husband, you might come up with a healthy compromise.

Sexually there are other things that can be done without the need for another person. But this path is entirely yours.

But I myself would rather leave before I cheat.

I don’t love that I had surgery either! My surgery was February 25 then April 13 I was back in for gallbladder removal. A couple weeks later I had a leak, so back to the hospital. I now have bathroom issues, and a super sharp pain under my right rib that take my breath away like a spasm. Nothing has been even close to normal. I thought maybe I was the only one with regrets too!

I think this person is trolling you all. I commend all of you for wanting to help this person if they are legitimate because that is what we do on here. This one seems too defiant and unwilling to consider any recommendations which just smacks of trolling. I wish this person the best if they are legit and implore them to get help right away if they are legit. But saying that they will seek help but it will not make a difference seems a little fishy. If someone does not think therapy will make a difference they simply do not go. If someone wants help they do not reject every offer of help that is provided. This post does not ring true for me. We have legitimate people on here that deserve our support and help.
