  1. I would get the clear protein waters and sugar free Popsicles and sugar free jello I liked the chicken soup and strained out the stuff out because you can taste the stuff in it. The clear liquid part of the diet is easier if you have a variety. I had the bypass last December I'm not sure how long you are on the clear diet is for the sleeve also maybe something to make ice or Popsicles with protein water Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Yeah I wear mostly v neck too if my daughter hadn't pointed out I wouldn't have thought I would fit either Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I'm in California and my insurance covered it just had to pay copay. Had to jump through but I'm surprised that a lot of insurances don't cover it because when I was looking at insurances when we could change all the ones I was looking at covered it Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Pre op

I vaped before surgery and had to quit prior which I did my surgeon said 8 weeks of no nicotine before but I read it takes 4 weeks had to have a negitive nicotine test before my date I will say that the good part of vaping over smoking is you change the nicotine level when I started the journey I was at a nicotine level of 6 and after my first appointment and when the bottle was empty I switched to 3 and when I got my date I switched to 0 which helped with the giving up and dosent show nicotine test because there is none. Sorry this happened my team made it very clear no nicotine and they would test for it and if I had it they would cancel it. Hope you don't get discouraged stay strong just another bump in the road it will work out. But I would switch to 0 nicotine level as soon as possible also I washed my tankard put in a new coil. Telling others

I believe it's your right to tell or not. I'm super open about it. I tell everyone I'm proud of my decision and the progress I've made. And I don't think there is anything to be embarrassed about so why hide. I've had only good feed back. My mom was worried about me but still super supportive. I don't get why we should be embarrassed. This was brave decision in my opinion if there was anyone who had bad or negative thoughts they didn't say it to me. Thing I miss most

I didn't miss anything at 2 weeks either. But I was also still on a clear liquid diet and in a lot of pain from them puncturing my liver in 2 places. It wasn't until much later that I really started missing it when I had something that was a little spicy or dry. Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. I feel like I have given up a lot since starting this journey. I don't mind most of them. Mostly because I feel better and down 103 pounds. However I really really miss drinking while I eat. Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Vaping after Surgery

I smoked since I was 16 except for a couple of stops. I'm 46 now I have switched to vaping a few times but switched completely before I got married in 2017 didn't want to smoke a cigarette on my wedding dress. When I started this journey I lowered the nic level until I was at 0. Then I stopped before surgery. And there are times I will look for it but go oh yeah I don't do that anymore and move on. I'm doing this to get healthy and don't want to go back to vaping it's been 8 months since I vaped and since I am going through sizes so fast I have money to get clothes I used to spend on vaping stuff. Regrets ?

Even with everything I went through and the complications I would do it again I feel better. I'm more active and happier. Had my bypass December 2021 down 100lb. From 290 to 190 Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. I started this journey at 290. I'm six months out from gastric bypass and now weigh 196. The doctor says my goal weight is 160 which means 36lbs to go.The last time I remember being under 200 was when my 20 year old daughter was like 1 or 2. My personal goal is to be at 160 by my birthday in the beginning of October and am working hard to hit that. I was in 19/20 pants and a 2/3x top. Now I am in a 8/10 pants and medium shirt. The thing that confuses me is at 185 when my daughter was little I wore a size 10 but I fit into my 10s starting at 210lb. I just don't know how that works. Don't get me wrong I happy about the fact that my jeans are an 8 and a medium top but not sure how it works Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I have been reading through these they are great by the way. I'm going through some of the same things. 1. I couldn't take my rings off without a huge effort and plenty of lotion. Now I can yeah without issues or lotion. 2. I can get up off the couch without rocking. 3. Not having to go in the big girl section for clothes 4. My daughter asked me what happened to my hands I was oh they just aren't fat anymore lol. She thought something was wrong. 5. Towels fitting right 6. Being able to walking longer and more often. 7. Being more flexible and energetic during sexy time. Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. I was happy about that too. I haven't admitted that it was an issue before but now that it's easier I'm just so happy about it. Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. You know I've been going though clothes sizes pretty fast. It would be cool if there was a place for bariatric patients to share and swap clothes. Just because we go through sizes so fast. That way we didn't have to buy clothes in a size we only be in for a few weeks or months. Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. I was absolutely excited when my towel fit without the gap. It was a great feeling Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app
