  1. Hello, I am now 8 weeks out from my gastric bypass surgery. I am 53lbs down and am finally getting some energy back. I did have a lot of set backs following my surgery and spent 2 weeks in the hospital most of which was in ICU. I am able to eat regular foods now but still don’t have much of an appetite. I don’t tolerate meats very well and I crave fresh fruits and vegetables which are sometimes hard to tolerate as well. I find I only like ice water and herbal tea. I can no longer drink coffee and I used to drink coffee all day everyday. I no longer crave sweets either. I’m amazed at how much my tastes have changed. Has anyone else experienced changes like these?
  2. Hello everyone. I am three weeks post op and I am doing well. Initially I had some serious set backs ( not due to the surgery itself) that had me in the hospital for two weeks in the ICU. I am lucky to be here as well as grateful. Please please listen to your doctors and follow everything they say. This procedure is a tool only and will not work if you don’t follow the rules. With that being said, I lost 35.6 lbs my first three weeks. That is a great feeling!!!
