    Thermomix?

I’m keen to treat myself to a thermomix for Christmas however, I just wanted to know if many people use this or would it be a waste?
  2. Hey there, 3 months post op and really struggling with permanent cramps & burping. This seems to happen every time I have my period, however, my PMS pre surgery was never this bad. I now cramp permanently (24/7) for up to 2.5 weeks (even though my period itself only lasts 3-5 days), i’m bloated and I permanently need to burp as the gas is just extreme. Basically I feel like how I did in my first week after surgery with the gas, walking and burping. I’m in severe pain and every night I have spasm attacks so my sleep is really bad. Has anyone else been through this? if so: 1) How did you manage this? 2) How long did it last? 3) why has it happened? I have already had all my blood tests done, had an ultrasound, been to see my surgeon twice and there is nothing actually wrong with me, he’s referred me to a gynaecologist (because hormones is definitely impacting this and I have high insulin resistance which hasn’t reduced) and gastroenterologist to rule out any colon inflammation or infections. But at this stage he thinks it’s severe IBS with hormone changes. The thing is – I’M IN TOO MUCH PAIN 24/7.

    April 2022 Surgery Buddies

I feel like I’m exactly the same! Today is day 4, and the exhaustion is through the roof! I haven’t left the house yet but been done some laps around my house! Hopefully all this starts to shift soon. im averaging around 1.5- 2 litres of fluid a day, and this morning I decided to try some jelly which is nice to have a different texture rather than just clear liquid.

    April 2022 Surgery Buddies

Hi all, I had my mini gastric bypass (with omega loop) on the 12th April here in Dubai where I live (originally from the UK though). Stayed one night in hospital and was discharged yesterday. Wow!! The pain! I have 3 incisions, one of them my surgeon said I had weak core muscles and he had to stitch the muscle as he didn’t think they would knit back together naturally and that this would hurt for a while. My God! Every time I move it’s awful. Im also feeling so low! Anybody else in this stage? I really am right now full of regret due to the lack of sleep, the amount of pain and just lack of energy I have. I’ve been put on one week of clear liquids so yesterday I drank some chicken bone broth which I will have again today with my electrolytes, coconut water and water.
