    Regrets...anyone?

I'm currently 3 weeks out and have a huge issue with nausea. I'm keeping things down but I'm so weak, shaky and nauseous all the time. I'm hoping maybe going on another anti nausea medication.
  3. Thank you so much! I will read it!
  4. Lol, I'm from Ontario, so OHIP paid for my surgery. I had to go through a lot of tests and of course evaluations to be considered for the surgery. I don't want it reversed if I can get this fixed but I want to know that it's an option if I'm not thriving. My concern is what doctor would do it? Would I waste away before an intervention is considered. I read that a reversal is only done only after someone is close to dying. I don't want to wait years to get to that point if nothing is helping I'm sorry I'm so negative. I'm just scared.
  5. Thank you! I am on a PPI, twice a day! I'm so confused and so were the doctors in the ER.
  6. I hope it doesn't come to that. I'm worried that if all interventions are tried and I'm not thriving, that they still won't consider it at all. I guess I'm just scared.
  7. I agree. I don't want to think of this as reversible because I did get it to be healthier as I am overweight, pre diabetic and with upper airway restriction syndrome. I just want to know that if I'm not thriving and all interventions made, that it could potentially be reversed.
  8. I take it quite slow, it does work sometimes for the vomiting but the nausea is constant. Couple that with my legs and arms shaking too and the weakness it's been horrible.
  9. No worries. I do not get my period as I've had surgeries that stopped it. It might still be hormone related though
  10. I hope it ends soon! Fingers crossed. Thank you so much!
  11. Oh, yes I am on a PPI (Omeprazole) twice daily as well. I will try different temps of liquid too! Thanks! I did get unflavored protein to add to my water. It's ok and helps a bit.
  12. Yes! I was bumped up to 8mg every 8 hours but it doesn't seem to work well. Gravol is better but makes me so tired which is good for bedtime (I can't sleep) but not during the day. You're absolutely right about dehydration making it worse, so I sip slow all-day. All the doctor kept saying to me is that I need to keep drinking my protein shakes. He wasn't listening when I said that I can't keep it down. I start work this week and am quite worried.
  13. Thank you both. I was in the hospital twice this weekend and they gave me fluids and Odansatron but went home to the same issues. The on call surgeon just looked at me and said "We do not see anything wrong with your blood work or CT scan". I felt so defeated! I wrote down all my symptoms to talk to my surgeon about, so hopefully I can find answers. At this point, I just want it reversed but they won't even look at that as I'm only three weeks post op. My fear is that this won't go away. I do not want to live months or years with this.
  14. Hello all, I had RYGB surgery March 25th, 2022 and I'm struggling. I've been in and out of emergency with nausea and some throwing up. I'm weak and dizzy and finding it hard to move forward. I did my research and knew that this is a possibility but dang it's hard. Even water causes stomach issues. I'm barely getting my protein drinks in. Is this common? I'm hoping to get an appointment with my surgeon to talk about this. I just want this reversed. I know it's not possible but I'm miserable.
