  1. Hi Everybody! Went to first doctor appt. (1 week post-op), and he says I'm doing Great!!! Lost 9 1/2 pounds without even trying. Have had my stepdaughter and family in all week, and have had to cook and even go out to eat with them twice, but only drank liquids. It was very easy though due to not being "starving" when I went. A little tough today, because I had to prepare two large briskets for the BBQ pit, for a BBQ with the family this evening, and I accidentally threw a tiny piece of brisket in my mouth!!!( only chewed it for the flavor though, and tossed in the trash!! ) I am looking forward to trying mushy food next week!!! Thanks for all of your support!!!!
  2. I have just had lapband on friday, March 24 - I am 65 pounds overweight, and hope to lose all by Christmas. Feel great, very very sore though. Told me to be on liquids for 2 weeks. Having no problem with that, when I start getting hungry, I drink a little bit, or sip some broth, and it satisfies me. Still getting rid of gas on my stomach, but not a bit of nausea. Praise the Lord!
  3. I have scheduled my lap band surgery for two weeks from now, with Dr. Michael Hsu (he is in Orange, Texas, just east of Beaumont). He is awesome and charges around 12,700.00 - I'm kind of partial to him anyway, as he cured me from breast cancer in 2003!
