Less than 12 hrs now and I will be having my revision to distal bypass. I can't believe it's finally here, but I am so ready!

Well, this is it. My revision surgery is 12.5 hrs away. Seemed like it would never happen and now here it is!

Thanks getting excited a little nervous but knowing I’m on my way to a healthier and more energetic life is keeping me going. Good luck to all 21st surgeries.

I had my Covid test today. My first one ever. I'm looking forward to "Transformation Tuesday" (that's what my surgeon calls it).

I am also day 2, allowed select foods from a list given to me. Honestly it is much easier than I thought so far. I got hungry last night so I just went to bed. lol I was also busy all day yesterday, this evening I have nothing going on so I feel like that is going to make it harder. We shall see! Again, good luck to everyone trying to make it thru.

I'm on day 2 as well. I am allowed one small meal a day though, so it's rough but I know it could be worse. I'm drinking a lot of Water and crystal light when I feel hungry. We've got this!

Second day of liquid diet 😒😒. It’s like I feel tired or maybe depressed that I can’t eat. I never realized that I had a food addiction until now and it’s sad. But I’m doing good on my diet.

I start my liquid diet today so far so good. I do feel a little nausea from taking my medicine and Vitamins without food but overall not hungry YET. Good luck to you all!!

To March Surgery Buddies, well, today is my Gastric Bypass. I'm currently waiting for my best friend to take me to the hospital-have to be there at 7:30am. I'm trusting God to take care of me, but in still a little nervous. I'll let you know how everything goes, when i can. I'm at 224 lbs and am looking forward to seeing that number go down significantly and many of my aches and pains to get much better or go away completely. Please, everyone, keep me in your prayers :)

I was going to start early, but my 50th birthday is two weeks after surgery, so we are having a pre-birthday celebration so I can eat cake lol

I’m doing a practice run on the liquid diet this week I start my real diet Monday and let me tell you it as been a struggle. But I have no choice but to get it right by Monday smh 😆😆

It’s my second day I’m technically suppose to start Monday but I’m trying to get use it!!

And as far as starting the liquid diet early I did that because so I could get use to it by next Monday and it has been a struggle I tell you that lol. Hello IM NEW HERE. I have my surgery 03/21/22. Very excited and nervous at the same time. I suppose to start my liquid diet next Monday it I started it today just so I can get use to it by next week lol any advice on that. It was a struggle for me today I love food lol.

I started the second week of pre-op diet yesterday which means only liquids. It’s actually not that bad because I’m full of liquid all the time. My mind tries to tell me that I want something to eat, but I’m truly not stomach hungry. I guess that’s good since the post-op diet is liquids for awhile, too.

Hello and welcome, I would never have begun the pre op diet earlier than needed its brutal. Everybody on these forums has a different diet given to them and a liquid diet seems to be voted the worst. My pre op was 3 weeks of only non starchy vegetables and nothing else and I cursed it and couldn't wait for it to end. The first 4 days of any pre op diet are truly the worst and then hunger pangs dissipate somewhat. Keep talking to the wonderful people in the forum and read the back pages, it really helped me. YAY! Mine is the 21st too! I am supposed to start my pre-op diet on the 11th. I too think I am going to start early for 2 reasons. First, the 11th is a Friday, I think it will be harder to get thru the first few days over the weekend. I always think it is harder to stick with my routine on the weekends as far as healthy eating. Being busy and occupied at work helps a lot. Secondly, to loose more weight. I have been on a steady decline since I started all of the pre-op requirements 6 months ago. Once I did my final weigh in, I had some "goodbye" meals. Didn't go over my calories but I didn't eat good (and my body knows). Well, I also gained 4 lbs so I need to make sure I loose that PLUS some. My surgeon requires that you are BELOW your final weigh in the day of surgery. Doesn't matter how much but you have to be less than that final weight check weight.
Regardless. Good luck to us. We got this!!!
