  1. Hi. I signed up just to comment here. I have been getting these "roof of mouth cramps" since I was a teenager! I am 45 years old and have never had any type of weightloss surgery. I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed before they even dropped down. When I was a teenager (and younger), the dentists were big on fluoride tray treatments and they always had to use the smallest size children's tray on me or an adult small and cut the ends off. They always commented and teased me about how small my mouth was. I wonder if it is related to the muscle cramps? When I told my parents, dentist, doctor, husband about them they laugh at me and some have even said, "There aren't muscles in the roof of your mouth!" But it feels just like a leg or foot cramp only on the roof of my mouth! It hurts and as others have said it just has to go away on its own. Comes in like a SUDDEN wrecking ball and leaves just as mysteriously. I think I should note: I take complex vitamin B, vitamin C, Magnesium, 5,000 IU D3, etc daily. Also I drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water per day so I don't think dehydration is the issue... Also for me I don't even have to be drinking or eating anything at all. I'm sick right now so having to breathe thru my mouth and I can feel another spasm or cramp wanting to come on from the cool air entering my mouth. Maybe that has something to do with it? Anyhow, thanks for this thread.
