    Jade and I

  2. I had the same problem! They took out .10 cc and I was fine! I would have your doctor take some fluid out. Throwing up your food is not a good thing! You want to keep all of the nutrition that you can get. Plus throwing up will make you lose weight fast but it will also increase your chance of sagging skin. It is best to not go through that. Good luck to you! :frown:

    Exersice

If you cant do anything else you should walk, walk, walk. You will be amazed at what walking will do for you. Then once you have mastered the walking stage you can boost it up to running! Working out is very important!! Keep up the good work! :frown:
  5. Insurance waiting can be so nerve wrecking! It sucks because you just want to be sure that you are not going through everything for nothing. Don't give up and keep on them! It will be worth it. Good luck to you on your band journey! :)

  6. Hi

I just saw your pic comment and yes I lost 45 lbs before surgery and now I have lost 120 lbs total. I have 30 lbs to reach my goal! I am very excited. How is your journey going?

  7. Keep in touch. Let me know how your journey goes I love to hear about peoples stories. Don't worry about anything you will do great and you will love it! :) Best wishes

  8. Hi Nichole

I was banded on 9/24/08. At 6 months I lost 115 lbs! The band is whatever you want to put into it. I work out a lot and I do not eat fried or fatty foods. I won't eat any fatty mayo or dressings. I only drink milk and water. (Continued)

  9. I would rather eat my calroies than drink them. I run on the treadmil for 2 miles at lunch and then do a 50 min workout at home. I will do 100 sit ups before I go to bed at night. It is all in what you put into it. I had a little trouble when I went in to get a fill. I was 5 months and just going in for my first fill. They found out that my port had flipped and I would have to go back in for surgery to get it stiched back in. After the revision surgery (two weeks later) I was able to get my first fill. After the fill I kept having problems with certain foods. I would have to throw up about every other day. I told my doctor and the suggested that I come in to have some fluid taken out. The doctors weighed me and found out that I was losing 5 lbs a week. Which is great weight loss for me but I told them I would rather not lose it that way. So they took out .10CC of fluid and I have been doing great again! I am on my average 3 lbs weight loss a week and I can eat anything so far.

What Does it Really Look Like??

I do not have any pictures but I have seen one filled with 8 cc's before. There is not a lot of room. I would say about the size of a marker. It was really cool to see just how tight that thing can get. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you find any pics. Thanks
  12. Hey Ashley

How are you doing?? Are you finally banded? Good luck to you on your journey I hope to hear from you soon!

  13. Keep up the good work Speed! Great pics :)

  14. My Surgery went fine. Hopefully now my port is in the right way and I will be able to get a fill. I go in on the 24th to see how I am healing. I hope all goes well for you with your fill. Hopefully they can hit it on the first try! :) Keep in touch

  15. Thank you for the complement. I am doing a lot of exersize and I don't eat fatty foods such as fast food, fried foods, fatty mayo ect. If I snack on anything I eat apple slices instead of chips. I run on the treadmil for 2 miles a day. Then I will do either Firm total body or Jillian Micheals Fat zones for strength training and I finish by doing 100 sit ups. If the weather is nice I will add an evening walk around the park for another 2-3 miles. How is your journey going? Keep in touch

    My port is upside down!!!

Hi All I was banded 9/24/08. I am down 99 lbs and just recently decided with my doctor that it is time for a fill. When I went in to get my fill I found out that my port is upside down. First he went in with a needle and stabbed all around. That hurt! The next time he decided to try and fill me under an x-ray which is when he found out that the port is upside down. Does anyone know what causes this? Is it from too much ab work? Shouldn't the stitches hold it in place? I am going in for surgery again tomorrow morning. I am really bummed:thumbdown: I hope it was not something that I did to cause this. I am worried if I will have to go another 6 weeks with out exercise. That will put me back big time! I do Jillian Micheals Fat zones for 50 min a day, treadmil 25 min, 100 sit ups, and Firm body sculpt 45 min. I don't want to start all over again! Please tell me this is not a big deal and I can continue doing what I have been doing. :w00t: Have a great Valentines Day everyone!
  17. You go girl! 71 lbs is great! Keep up the good work and keep us posted with pics! :)

  20. Hey

I just checked my messages. I am so slow! :) I found out on the 29th that my port is upside down! :( I am actually going in for surgery tomorrow. I am hoping to lose another 50 lbs if I can. I hope to see you at the next meeting! It looks like you are doing good! Keep up the good work

  21. Hey

I am glad to hear that surgery went well! How are you doing? Where are your new photos? :) You have to show yourself off! :) I hope all is well and I hope you have a great Valentines day!

  22. Hi

I eat normally an apple for breakfast, a banana w/ a tsp of reduced fat peanut butter on it for lunch, 2oz of grilled or baked chicken breast with 2oz of fruit and 2oz of veggies for dinner. I normally take my protein drink about 20 min. after I do my work out. I will run for 1.9 miles on the treadmil, 100 situps, either Firm total body sculpt or Jillian micheals fat zone for 50 min. I am really loving my band but I just found out that my port is upside down :( I have never had a fill and when I finally went in to get one I found out that it is upside down. I will have to go in for surgery tomorrow. I am really bummed. Have you been banded yet? Good luck to you and your journey!

two days for my first fill....

I am not the one you would want to get advise from on this one. I am almost 5 months out and never had a fill. I finally talked my doctor into giving me one and when he went in with the needle he was stabbing all around trying to find the port, That hurt. The next time he decided that he was going to do it with me under an x-ray. I went in just to find out that my port is upside down! I am going in for surgery again tomorrw. I hope that your fill will be great and they can hit it on the first try. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it seems to follow me. Although I am down 99 lbs since 9/24/08! So I guess I shouldn't complain. If they can find your port right off then it will be no big deal. Just like giving blood from your arm. Good luck let me know how it goes!
