I also had a lot of family say I was making the wrong decision. After talking with them, I found out their comments were coming from either ignorance (thinking I was giving up) , fear of the surgery not being safe or that it would change me and somehow make me vain/no fun when going out/etc. Shot all that down and told them I would like their support but I'm doing this for me with or without them. Most came around but not all. Sent from my SM-G970U using BariatricPal mobile app

I am also in pureed stage. I am eating a lot of soups including Cauliflower Cheddar, chicken chili, lentil vegetable and tomato basil. All pureed so there are no chunks. Honestly, I am dying to eat something crunchy. Not so much anything in particular. Even a carrot!! Sent from my SM-G970U using BariatricPal mobile app

2 week post sleeve check-in. Down 30 lbs (including Pre-op diet). I've been very fortunate to have no naseau or real pain. Biggest issue was insomnia the first week after surgery. That seems to have fixed itself with increased activity over the last week. So excited today to add pureed foods. Had eggs with hummus for breakfast. Did my first food prep session. Made a huge mess but was able to make enough meals for myself and my husband to last a week. I think practice makes perfect on this. Incisions mostly healed. When they start to itch, I take a half of a benedryl. Walking about 15 to 20 minutes 2 to 3 times a day on the treadmill. Looking forward to the spring so I can walk outside. Still building up stamina on my lower calorie intake to get back topre-surgery goal of 10k steps a day. Also set my watch to remind me if I haven't moved in an hour. Just walking around my house and up and down the stairs to get in those steps. Starting to see increased exercise is leading to more overall energy. How are all my 2 week post surgery buddies doing? Only 4 days post op but feel confident to say that the prep week was harder than the surgery! I was hungry all the time with zero energy. Try to stict as close to the prep diet as possible as it really does make your surgery shorter, with fewer complications and less residual pain. Mostly because the more you shrink your liver, the better off all those things are. Heard that from Bari and Hysterectomy surgeon. If you slip (which I did 2 times) in that week. I had 1 or 2 bites and followed it up with lots and lots of water. Sent from my SM-G970U using BariatricPal mobile app

When do we start taking our vitamins? In all the classes I took, I didn't get any instructions for that. Sent from my SM-G970U using BariatricPal mobile app

An abdominal binder is a long wrap with velcro that a surgeon can wrap around your abdomin to keep everything in place. I requested one be put on me before I left the OR. It helps when you are getting up out of chair and moving around because it limits the pull on the incisions. You don't realize how much you use your abdonimal wall for almost every movement. I didn't have one when I had my hysterectomy and now I really wish I had. Sent from my SM-G970U using BariatricPal mobile app

2/3 sleeve here. Experiencing a lot of the same. Discomfort more than pain. Trying to walk for 10 minutes at least 6 times a day. Just around the house since it's snowy and icy out. Using the tread on a super low walk speed. Can't sleep in the bed yet. Abdominal binder is a god-send. Fortunately no nausea. Constantly sipping water and shakes. Have had 2 popsicks and 2 half cups of jello. Miralx started yesterday, too. Sent from my SM-G970U using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm feeling okay. Still bloated and the line of little incisions wilm remind if twist or do anything that I shouldn't. I basically slept all day long. Being 1.5 days post op, I'm home and really focusing on getting in liquids and proteins and walking at least 10 times. Sent from my SM-G970U using BariatricPal mobile app
